  1. Oh lord, now I’m scared ?? I also have 4 more days. Will definitely try to lose 5 pounds. Thanks for all the comments. Helps me out! I’ll just continue on my diet and stay focused!!
  2. @KarenLR75 my BMI is 54.7 I believe so pretty high. My surgeon hasn’t mentioned anything to me about calling it off due to the size of my liver or anything. I do have “Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease” which I believe most morbidly obese people have. Mine is mild if I remember correctly. Either way, I will do better and hope everything works out on Monday. If we could give up food that easy, no one would be big and there would be no need for weight loss surgery. It’s a tool to help with smaller portions, which lead to healthier choices.... eventually, no or minimum bad cravings. So, I don’t try to beat myself up too bad. I’m sure surgeons realize that people will cheat. How can we not? If you don’t, please share some will power :)
  3. I cheated :( on day 9 of my pre op and I have cheated 3 days out of the 9. Let me explain. My 2 week pre op diet consists of 2 protein shakes a day, lean cuisine for dinner, tossed salad, and 100 cal snacks in between in meal. I felt lucky, because that seems easier than most. I did great the first few days, I lost 5 lbs. I cheated literally 1 day (not even like a bad cheat) and I gained 3 lbs!! One day I cheated by eating 5 meatballs and literally binged on chips, m&ms. We had a cookout, I ate... that’s all I ate that day though. I had 2 pieces of pizza and 5 chicken nuggets last night. I have 4 days left and I’m going to stick, no matter what. Than I thought, well if you can’t do this pre op diet, you can never stick to your lifestyle change after surgery... not true. I’m giving myself such a hard time. Now I’m afraid my liver will be too big and my surgeon won’t preform the surgery. Did anyone else cheat? What should I do?
  4. September 9th here for gastric bypass!! Hoping everyone has a safe surgery and fast recovery ??????
  5. I have to lose a lot of weight. About 150 lbs. I’m 24 (as of yesterday) though so maybe age will be on my side. Fingers crossed
  6. Is anyone using any firming cream or lotion for loose skin? If so, what is the best? They’re are so many options and some are quite expensive. Of course, money isn’t much of a concern if it’ll actually help. Thanks in advance ☺️
  7. My surgery is Sept 9th and I’m so scared! Like I’m very excited to start this new beginning in my life but I’m also scared of dying and complications. I’ve never had surgery before. And yes I’m a little dramatic. Did anyone else have this problem? So super scared.
  8. My surgeon has me on a 2 protein shakes a day and a lean cuisine in the evening. 100 calorie snacks in between meals (low carb). How much weight did you guys lose on the pre op diet? And what type of diet did y’all have?
  9. My surgery date is September 9th!!!! Good luck to you!!
  10. So, I’m supposed to start my pre op diet on August 26th but I’m not going to lie.... I have been living my fat girl life and put on some weight. I wanted to start my pre op early, as in tomorrow. Maybe not as intense, but definitely start getting used to my protein shakes and smaller portions. Do you guys think that’s okay? I know the whole reason of the diet is to reduce the size of your liver, I don’t want that to affect it. What do y’all think?
  11. I’m 24 and weight 335 lbs. my surgeon and nurse both told me that I wouldn’t have skin and if I did, it would be a small amount. I have an extremely hard time believing them considering how big I am. It’s not a main concern but it does bother me a little. I’m actually driving myself a little nuts with this ??
