  1. I feel like I have done nothing all day at work today... I've been falling asleep.
  2. I'm 7 months post op VSG, and I'm so exhausted. I feel ok for a bit after I get a B-12 shot, and then I'm really sluggish again when it's due. Does anyone know approx when it goes away for good? Will it go and then come back?
  3. Are y'all finding you can still only eat the 2 oz or just a little bit more? If I attempt to eat just a little bit more, I get really bad pains like a horrible heart burn pain. Anyone else?
  4. I'm 6 weeks today, and I too have been battling this hunger stuff.... I feel like I'm always wanting to eat, and then when I do eat, I feel like I take that 1 or 2 extra bites and it just hurts. It's like i'm trying to feel fuller longer. I also feel like I can eat a little more than 2 oz now too. I'm going to try to up my water intake too and protein to see if this helps. Great advice. Thank you! Lisa I really hope you feel better soon! My only problem thus far has been my rash... it really sucks.
  5. Thank you all, I had surgery 2/14. and the glue that they used was gone by 1.5 weeks. This developed at 4 weeks out. I sent the photos to my surgeons office because they are not seeing pt's. The nurse told me I'm allergic to my vitamins. However if I was the rash would be everywhere not just around my incisions. So I went to urgent care Sunday, and got some steroids. it's helping a little.....
  6. More pictures. It’s so painful and itchy
  7. Has anyone experienced any rashes after surgery?
  8. I’m at the stall too. My surgery was 2/14 so almost 5 weeks now. I just started solids today. On Friday I broke out into a rash at 2 of my incisions. The rash is horrible because the incisions and rash are painful and very itchy. I was told it’s the preservatives in my vitamins. Ugh
  9. It’s an interesting spasm. I don’t have it when I consume ice chips, I get it when I have a popsicle. I am really starting to think it’s my stomach’s way of saying I’m full. I don’t think it’s gas related though I could be wrong. My surgeon did say I’d be having spasms. I’m going to ask him to treat it I think. Tomorrow’s my 1 week I’ll talk with him then.
  10. Yes that’s about where I’m at too with them. Maybe it’s the cold? I was eating a popsicle.
  11. For those that have had the surgery already, have y’all had any spasms? Omg they hurt. Is this the hey you’re full... ? I’m 5 days post op sleeve.
  12. Ok so I bought a broth and I hate it! So I had my honey take me to Panera bread and they let me try their soup broth. I love them. Yay something I can eat! Also.... for ice chips go to your local Sonic because they sell a 10lbs bag for $3.25 and omg it’s the best!!!!
  13. I’m feeling the same feelings when I drink. Taking pill sucks. I feel the getting stuck. And the dry mouth part really sucks. I’ve been having a lot of dry heaving and that’s very painful. I’ve been walking a lot and hopefully get to go home today.
  14. Thank you! Yes I’ve been up and walking. It helps. I like the broth and apple juice mostly. Everything else is nasty to me.
  15. Surgery was a success! Just recovering in the hospital now. They brought me breakfast. All liquids. So hard to eat. Ugh any movement I hurt. I feel the gas pains traveling in abdomen area it hurts. But otherwise I’m doing great!!
  16. My Dr doesn’t want me having protein for a week after surgery. It’s all about fluids. Keep the kidneys functioning. Hydration and kidney function is more important than protein in the first week. I hope this helps!!
  17. I’m here in the hospital in pre-op just waiting for them to come take me to surgery. I’m all ready to go. I have excited nervousness going on. I’m not scared at all. I’ll post as I’m able!
  18. I’m getting so excited!!! I seriously can’t function at work. I register tomorrow at the hospital and meet with my Dr again for my pre-op appointment and then Friday at 130 is my surgery! I’m having the sleeve done. Such a long wait so very glad it’s finally time!!
  19. So glad it went well and you get to go home!! You’re one of the lucky ones with minimal pain.
  20. Yay!! So exciting!! Luckily you only have 1 day prior to surgery, I have 2 days... oh well I know it will help. The nerve pain medication is this a standard for your surgeon? Or have you been having some pain?
  21. I’m sorry to hear that your surgery was moved. But you will be happier with recovery. The 10th is just around the corner! For me the 14th is almost here too. I just wish it was sooner. Lol
  22. Yay! We’re giving ourselves the Best Valentine’s Day present ever!!!
  23. I’ll be on February 14!! Yay happy Valentine’s Day to me!! Best gift I could ever have. I’m so very happy!
  24. Congratulations!! I have kaiser so I have until October 28th as my last class then I get to do whatever else is required. I’m really hoping for a thanksgiving surgery timeframe, but we’ll see. Who is your surgeon? What’s the preop diet like?
