  4. Yes I know his address is in an earlier post, I wanted to know if anyone had a list of the area's he visits in the uk.
  5. Has anyone got a list of the area's that Dr Chris De Bryne visits please
  6. The last 3 times I have had a fill it has taken the doc 2 or 3 goes to get the needle in. I know when it's in as it hurts when it's not and it's only a little scatch when it's in. You can also tell when they remove the needle as there is a little pull or suction feeling as the needle comes away from the port before leaving the skin.
  7. I think you may need to ask your doc to take a look at this site to see how many fills people are getting. I was banded on May 2006 and had to wait 6wks before I was allowed a fill. I now have a fill every 3mths with my last one being Feb 2007. I think this may be the one that has reached my sweet spot.,I was told that once the spot was reached then I would only then need to go maybe once or twice a year for a top up.
  8. What are the symptoms of band slippage? I was what I thought at my sweet spot up to yesterday for a month now. Today there seems to be no restriction. How can I tell if the band has slipped?
  9. I think you know when they have made the fill due to the suction feeling when they remove the needle.
  10. Are you taking paracetamol after your fills for 3 days. This helps the swelling.
  11. Straight after my op I was offered yoghurt which surprised me as all the paper work they gave me said clear liquid. My doc told me to try and stay with the clear liquids as along as I could but if I really need to, I could have slimfat as it contains the right amount of vitamins. I lost 3st following the slim fast diet long before my op but I liked my food too much to continue, but now I have slimfast a lot mainly after a fill.
  12. Hi BabyGotBack How long have you been on the quickslim ? I have just read about it and it states you lose 2lb in the first week and 8lb in a month. Did this happen to you? Did you take it because your weight loss slowed down? Sorry so many questions:)
  13. I was given reductil before I had the band and lost 2st but my doctor wont prescribe it longer than a year so once I reached the year that was that.I was very angry, it was almost a tease like they were saying, we have the means to help you loose wait but stopped it just as things were going well. I have not had it for nearly two years now and asked if I could go back on it, they said no as there has not been enough research on it. I bought the equivelent mederia/meridian not long after taking the reductil and it made me feel ill so maybe that was why they wouldn't let me stay on it. Reductil is very expensive to buy but the mederia/meridian or Lepos (think that's spelt right) is very cheap but don't fancy going through that feeling again. I just need something that will make me feel full a bit longer.
  14. I thought Zetacap would be ok as it has Ginseng and Ginkgo in it which gives you energy. The following site tells you about it: http://www.zetacap-gastric-bypass.com/?gclid=CLndrNGj2IoCFSRHZwodr0JcyA I have really good restriction and can only manage a few mouthfuls but get very hungry shortly after eating to the point of feeling light headed. I thought that if I took Zetacap I would feel full for longer therefore speed up my very slow weight loss
  15. Has or is anyone taking diet pills with the band? Does anyone know anything about Zetacap?
  16. Hi The hotels recommended by http://www.obesitycare.co.uk/ know why you are there, you wont be eating much maybe a yoghurt I didn't fancy anything so just sipped water and juice. I didn't stay as long, due to the amount of holiday I had left to take. I traveled home on the day the nurse was due. I arrived on the Thursday had my pre obs done that day, had the op on the Friday went back to the hotel on the Saturday morning and left the hotel Sunday at 12:00. They wanted me to arrive on the wednesday to have obs, spend the Thursday looking around and then go home on the Monday. As there was a problem with the flights at the time it would of meant travelling home on the Tuesday and of course the hotel would of been dearer. At the time they weren't doing a very good deal with the hotel and travelling so it worked out cheaper for them just to book the hotel and I arranged the flight myself and paid for the hotel when I left. If you do this, make sure when you leave the hotel they have only charged you for the time you stayed. They went to charge me from the Wednesday to the Monday but I had all the paper work and of course my flight schedul. Anyway good Luck
  17. It was really easy. Went by plane, straight onto the train and then taxi to the hospital. The hospital is really clean and freindly, you get a lift back to your hotel. The morning of the operation they collect you and when you are discharged they take you back to your hotel. I was a bit uncomfortable so instead of getting the train back to the airport I got a taxi. Simple as that. If you don't get the plane you can go by eurotrain which I am told is just as easy.
  18. How much does Dr Chris charge for the fills in the uk? Can not find this info on the web-site Thanks
  19. I eat spicy foods and drink just not at the same time.
  20. I had my band by Dr Dillimans but went through http://www.obesitycare.co.uk/ if this is any help.
  21. Hi Could you send me some details of Dr Chris deBruyne please. Many Thanks
  22. I have had 5 fills since been banded in May 2006, and have only lost around 30lbs. I am now at what I think is my sweet spot and I am finding it really hard to eat the right things. I can eat bread rolls with no problem but cant eat toast, slimfast but not soup. I am finding that I can eat foods that I'm not meant to have easy, and food I am meant to eat hard. What is going on here:confused:
  23. I have had shoulder pain and that is because I have eaten too much haven't had chest pain though.
  24. I am under Dr Dillimans in Belgium and have my fills at their London Surgery.
  25. My fill doctor is in London Barnes and the price is £90.00. I travel from Portsmouth and it takes me about hour and a half to get there.
