  1. Yes thank you. I quit everything March 1st but the insurance company says that it's not guaranteed to be approved even after 6 months of cessation. I am going to just keep doing everything as is and no smoking. It was miserable to quit but I feel a world if difference then I used to. I love being able to breathe. Lol
  2. Wow! Congratulations! That is motivation.
  3. Thank you! I do not have Facebook but have read a lot on here. I have bought multiple books on the Kindle. I'll look into more YouTube videos. Only 72 days left! Lol. [emoji3]
  4. Keep your head up. They will figure it out. I have BCBS and the denied me as well. They said it was because I haven't quit smoking for over 6 months. If it gets pushed back it's going to be a pain I understand but don't let it dishearten you because then the insurance company will win and not have to pay for it. I'm sorry it happened to you but don't let this speed bump ruin your whole ride.
  5. I have 3 days clear liquids then 3-4 weeks full liquids.
  6. Mine to! Pending the insurance company approves it. I was originally scheduled for July 16th but because I'm an ex smoker they want me to prove that I'm not going to smoke again.
  7. Rescheduled for September 17th. ? I second guessed myself for a little bit but the surgery is important and life changing. I wish you luck and thanks for the support! I just needed to sit back and remember what the main goal is.
  8. I have been nicotine free since March 1st. I started the process more or less back in January or February. Quitting smoking is extremely difficult. Lol. I wasn't aware of the 6 months of nicotine free until yesterday when the insurance denied my surgery. If I would of known I would have been more mentally prepared. I'm 50/50 on even getting the surgery now. I gave up so much just to get shut down. This is the third time they have had issues. Whether it be the doctor's or the insurance I woul like to think that these people I've been paying and sitting down when on a monthly basis had an understanding of what's going on. I know for a fact they have done the surgery on multiple other people with the same exact insurance as me and should of known prerequisites.
  9. 6 months at a minimum. It's up to the insurance companies discretion.
  10. Well mine got cancelled because the insurance company says I have to be smoke free for 6 months. Guess I won't be joining everyone in July!
  11. Good luck!
  12. I'm excited for you all! Hope everyone is doing well and safe from today! Good luck to everyone tomorrow! Keep us updated.
  13. I go in for all my pretest stuff on July 11th. They are going to make me do blood work because I'm an ex smoker. It comes up so quickly though!
  14. I see some stuff about preop diet requirements. I feel extremely lucky they only requirement I have is the day before I can only consume 3 protein shakes and clear liquids. Other then that I just have to maintain my weight lost for preop. I wonder why doctor's are all so different on their preop diet choices...
  15. I'm getting the RNY... Forgot to mention that. It was early. Ha
  16. I'm like 70% excited and 30% nervous. Lol. I'm sure closer the date nervousness will kick in. Congratulations to you as well!
  17. I had to do 3 months medically supervised diet prior to my surgery. I started back on March 1st but finally got my date for July 16th. SW-343 CW-313. I've met alot of good people going to group meetings and figured I would try this forum!
