  1. Sandibly, You and only you know what you need. Don't let doubt creep in and take hold in your heart. You have set your feet on a hard road and you will need to endure to the end. Using the lap band as a tool, and it is only a tool to help you along the way to not only losing weight, but keeping it off for good, does not make you or any one of us who has or like myself going to to get it, weak. In fact I believe that we are the strong ones. We have had to endure years of yo-yo dieting and put downs about our weight and to be left with feelings of hopelessness. So I say to you and to all my fellow bandsters and bandsters-to-be WE ROCK!!!:thumbup: Your friend has not come to her crossroad as you have, so don't let her negativity get to you. Just pray that she finds the path that is right for to feel good about herself as you are definitely on the way to feeling great about you. Trini40
  2. I can totally identify with a lot of your experiences. I don't really mind when strangers make snide comments about my weight, but when family members do, I think that is hitting below the belt. Most of my family are supportive of me and my struggle to get my weight under control, but I have an Aunt that makes these so called helpful remarks--You know if you would exercise more you can lose the weight faster; or you know there are pills you can take to help you? do I have a headache???:wink2: At one of my cousins wedding she gushed over the fact that I looked so good and she could see how much weight I had lost, (which was zero, I was wearing a killa girdle)Lol. When she saw me the next day sans girdle, she was upset with me for fooling her, because clearly I was even bigger than she realized the night before and I should not have misled her. Its funny to me that my lack of weight loss is offensive to her :confused2: and what? I like walking aroung 130lbs overweight????
  3. Hi Everyone, I am sooooooooo happy to have this forum to read about and know that I am not the only person dealing with this. My first consult is on May 22 at TrueResults in Atlanta. Has anyone ben there and if so, what has been their experience. This decision was not easy for me to make and I am glad that I will have a place that I can come to for a reality check and for people to keep it real with. Trini40

    Hi!

Hello everyone, This is my very first blog and I just wanted to say Hi. I am having my first consult for my LapBand on May 22nd. Are there any questions that I should not forget to ask. I already have a list, but I know there is no such thing as too many questions. I am going to TrueResults in Atlanta. Has anyone been there?

    Hello from Atlanta

Don't know yet. I am hoping for Dr. Hart. I have heard only wonderful things about him and his staff. Did it take you a long time to make up your mind that this is the procedure for you?
