hello Everyone! I just had surgery this morning and am lying in hospital. all went well. Just pain at incision sites. Done nausea but I told nurses and they gave me meds for it If anyone close to surgery and feel in pain just tell nurses lightheaded but other than that feeling good one walk down hospital aisle already I was so scare two days before surgery and was horrible just waiting for it to be over but all good they’ve just given me water at this stage good luck everyone

My surgery date is December 11 and I can’t wait! Im from New South Wales in Australia and know a number of people I work with thst have no regrets about having done the surgery themselves. I’m doing the pre op diet for 4 weeks and then it’s the big date. I’m excited but scared !

Congratulations on starting your pre op ! My surgery is scheduled for 11 December and I’m on pre op as well. Just wondering if your allowed any vegetables with your diet? Normally your allowed this with optifast . I’m really curious because I’m allowed fruit and cracker biscuits with my shakes . Why do the diets differ so much ?

My surgery is scheduled for December 11 and my dr has me on Formulite shakes and the diet with that goes with it. Your allowed 2-4 cups veggies a day with carb snacks and pieces of fruit. I’m concerned that it’s different to optifast in that you can eat ryvita biscuits and fruit as snacks. Has anyone used formulite as their pre op dirt ?

Just wondering how long people would suggest in going away on holidays after surgery. ill be about 3 weeks post op if that, during school holidays and was planning on taking my daughter to theme parks during this time but I don't know if I will have the strength to a) carry luggage or b) even walk around the parks or doing other than lounge around the pool, that is even if my wounds heal leading up to the holiday. How long would anyone suggest in doing this sort of holiday ? Any advise is much appreciated :)

thank you so much to everyone for your advise. Im not going to book my holiday until after my surgery. Where I am staying the accommodation is fairly flexible so im not going to add undue pressure and stress until I know how I feel. Many thanks again to all :)
