  1. What a great idea for a weekly weigh in. I am definately up for that. I always want to know how much weight everyone has lost and in how many weeks since being banded. You are all doing so fantastic!!!! I am being banded next friday so will be joining in the weigh ins frim then on. Are you all feeling well?? Alittle ?? for you... whenever I try to diet i get a dizzy faint feeling when I get hungry, I think it may be something to do with blood sugar levels....do you get this feeling after you have been banded? good luck to you all this week. Georgina xx
  2. Thats great Kerri.... really pleased for you. September will soon come around.. I get banded next friday!!!! cant wait!!!! xx
  3. Hi chatty2cathy and welcome to this site. I have only been on here a few weeks but its brill. Everyone really tries to help each other with tons of info and support. Who better to be able to ask questions that great people who have already started their weight loss journey. I am being banded next week, the 20th, at bromsgrove. I cant wait.. How are you feeling? Are you finding the liquid diet ok and are you feeling hungry? Wishing you loads of luck Georgina
  4. Hi Debbie, Great to hear back from you and I am so pleased you are doing well. Mr Richardson said I too can do the 1000 cal diet (whoops made a mistake with my 000`s then and wrote 10000 cals!!! forgot that was obviously the diet I had been on for years!!! haha!!!) .....which I think I am finding better than I would the milk diet. only 10 days to go now!!! My BMI was just under 36..... to a lot of people that wont seem terribly high but I just cant shift it, I have a huge appetite and my BMI is steadily going up and up with diet I manage to maintain but I really want to lose and be slim again!! Keep up the great work everyone... your all doing soooo well.. I cant wait to join you. with love Georgina PS keep in touch with how your doing
  5. Hi Debbie, Glad to see your post online. I had hoped to have my surgery the same day as you but dragged my heels a bit with the deposit and lost the bedspace... now I am having it done on the 20th... I like you are having Martin Richardson.. How did you find him. I was a bit wary as beforhand I coulnt find much info on him but at my consultation in London he seemed really nice. What time did you check out of Dolan Park the morning after your op? How were you after the band was fitted were you up and about ok later that day. Its so nice to read a post from someone who has had the surgeon I am going to be having. How are you feeling now? Are you hungry on the liquids? Where do you live, I was told about having fills done in London for £125 each but was hoping to find a more local place that I can drive to for them as getting the train into central London can be a bit of a pain. I live in west sussex. Really hope you are feeling well and good luck on your weight loss journey... Georgina xx
  6. Hi BBaby... how are you getting on? how much have you lost so far.. when was your band done. how are you finding food and are you getting hungry. sorry.. all these questions.... georgina x
  7. Hi Jules. Good luck with the weigh in on saturday... let us know how you do. Have you been feeling really hungry on the liquid diet.? Only two weeks till my op now...
  8. Hi sbabes how are you feeling now? I have mine done at dolan park on the 20th of this month. bit nervous about it but really looking forward to getting the weight off. I keep reading that the WGA package includes the first fill. I havent been offered that with them as part of my package.. it cost 4950 and i had my consultation in London. Has everyone that has had their surgery with WGA had their 1st fill done free..and was it done when you go and have the barium xray 4 weeks after surgery. hope you are all doing well. Georgina
  9. Hi does anybody know of anywhere I might be able to go for fills in any of these areas. Also an idea of prices for both clinical fills and xray fills. I am being banded next month in Bromsgrove and am thinking of having my fills done closer to home if possible. I am having surgery with WGA and can make appointment through them to have fills in central London at £125 a time. Really grateful for any help. Georgina:biggrin2:

  11. Hi Sallieanne I have just got back from holiday and am trying to read up on the new posts. I too have my operation with Martin Richardson at Dolan Park . My op is June 20th... I cant wait!! Like you I was concerned about my BMI as its 36 and was pleased to know that he is happy to go ahead with the surgery. He says the band is great for people like us. I am soooo happy to be able to have this chance of getting slim again.. I have been "DIETING" for years on end but getting heavier by the year!! IF I can get this weight off and feel normal again it will be well worth the £5000..... Good luck with your and see you on the losing side
  12. Hello to everyone. My name is Georgina and I live in West Sussex UK. I am 41 years old and have a gastric band op scheduled for Fri 20th June in Bromsgrove, so I will be hoping to get tons of info and help from all of you on the website who obviously know how it all goes. Been so encouraged by all the positive posts and fantastic weight losses. Your doing great and I very much hope to be joining you all on the losing side very soon
  13. Debz Its good to hear you have had the surgery with why go abroad and you found them excellent! That really puts my mind at rest. I have my consultation next week in London with their surgeon Martin Richardson and hope to have the band op in June. How is your weight going??
  14. Glad to have found some people who have had surgery with WGA . I have my consultation next week in London and then hopefully the op in June in Bromsgrove. Do you get a private room to yourself when in the hospital? What surgeons have done yours there, I have been booked with Martin Richardson but I know little about him. How is the weight loss going?? Look forward to your replies, as you can see I am very new to this forum stuff. Georgina
  15. Hello. This is my first post and like you I would be very interested in any info on Martin Richardson or why go abroad. I have a consultation with him in london next week and am pencilled in for the band in Bromsgrove for June
