  1. What kind of salad dressing do you like? My favorite is Bob's Big Boy Bleu Cheese or Roquefort, Trader Joe's Feta Salad dressing, Honey Mustard by Kraft or almost any vinaigrette. I pour the dressing on the side so I can dip and control the calories. On a side note: I'm still thinking about a salad hours later, lol.
  2. I had tuna tonight for the first time and I felt terrible, nauseous and miserable. I also tried plain grilled fish mashed up another day, really terrible as well. I'm not going to try it again for another few weeks to a month. I'm a seafood lover and I barely eat any other meat, this is a major adjustment for me. I'm not losing weight due to the infamous stall, I tried a few slider foods due to my tastebuds and lack of tolerance for other foods that I should be consuming. Mentally getting myself back to the program and focusing on the bigger picture. Going to have protein in the morning to start my day, hopefully my stomach will play fair. I can eat chili and I have plenty of protein in there. I just want to feel normal again and I miss vegetables, produce, seafood, oatmeal and etc. This gets better, as we are learning the ropes. I will attest that wls is not the easy way out. This requires a lot of work, dedication and sacrifices to help yourself succeed.
  3. I just said this morning that I want just 1 pancake or homemade waffle. I was thinking if I put protein in the mix and make a few silver dollar sized pancakes, lol !!! I opted for some protein and I'm back to sleep now!!!
  4. Mmmm, salad. Romaine lettuce, a boiled egg chopped, chicken breast, avocado, cucumbers and bleu cheese or feta crumbles. Oh yeah and a few kalamata olives. Maybe in September for my birthday meal, I'll be 6 months out. I hope me and salad can continue our relationship, I'd be devastated if we couldn't be together, lol!!!
  5. I love the sassiness and confidence that you are exuding !!! Congratulations and continue to be great ???.
  6. This week I've been experiencing the same thing as you and I was sleeved on 3/3/20. Hydration is a difficult task for me and I loved plain water prior to surgery, I don't know when this is going to be better. I'm trying really hard every day to meet my hydration goals and protein drinks are now upsetting my stomach. I'm back to tge clear protein Isopure and ugh!!! I'm in a stall, I'm really hungry for real textures of food and I have to work on this darn insomnia. I have faith that this is just a moment that will get better
  7. Sending our courageous friends love and support for being on the front line during this pandemic and for being selfless. You are valued, loved, supported and respected ????‍♀️?
  8. I LOVE TEA...NO SUGAR NEEDED, EVER FOR ME. I drink a lot of Trader Joe's teas, Pomegranate and white tea, Peppermint, Green Tea, a night time tea blend. My non-Trader Joe's teas are various. I don't like orange flavored tea. Celestial peach, lemon, Chamomile. Tazo Passion tea is good hot or cold, if you drink it cold mix a lemonade Crystal light or drink mix with it over ice. When I want a sweet treat, I mix hot and warm black tea with a vanilla premier shake. It's like having a British tea with sweet cream, no sugar needed and you get a serving of protein. I have more ideas, but it really depends on your tea preference.
  9. BioOil is amazing as well, I like the way it makes my skin feel and the hydration it provides.
  10. Mary Kate and Ashley, lol. I love it.
  11. I'm using Mederma Advanced Scar Gel, it worked in the past. Also, good old fashioned Aloe Vera Gel fresh out of the plant is a great healer. I'm going to use that after I'm finished with the Mederma.
  12. My apologies for the delay in your procedure. Stay motivated and forward moving , take care of yourself as well.
  13. I don't know, but CammyC recommends that for gas. Read the instructions on the package and see what it says about drug interactions. I don't want to advise you with something that I don't have the credentials for, ie., medical care.
  14. As soon as I got up for my first walk, I belched a few times. @CammyC recommended some charcoal tablets from Walmart that were a lifesaver for her in regards to the gas.
  15. I had to request morphine while in the hospital. The gas pain has been the worst part of the wls journey for me, I was sleeved on 03/3/20. Walking does truly work.
  16. Damn, all of a sudden Ariel (my stomach) is refusing Premier Protein shakes. The shake is behaving like a diuretic, wth!!!! Trying to meet my protein goals and this chick is acting up. I don't want to waste my money and product, going to drink the Isopure Black Tea flavor for the next few days and see how Ariel's feeling.
  17. Giving you a hug and support, I agree with the masses. Contact your surgeon for the next step you should take professionally.
  18. I went to Walmart and got a 20.00 scale, works fine. It looks like a bamboo coating, electronic digital reading.
  19. I just started taking it again this week, the pill goes down fine with plenty of water. My issue is that the entire pill is too strong for me now, I can only handle half of a pill. I slept like 20 babies, zzzzzzzz.
  20. I felt like I was literally going to faint during the last week of full liquids, I added in a few pureed/soft foods in conjunction with the full liquids and immediately felt better. I don't want you to deviate from your plan, I shared this information to say that my body needed a little bit more at that point in my journey. I would also consult with your bariatric team to determine whether or not you are ready. Ariel (my stomach) loves refried beans and a scrambled egg. Not cooked together, in separate meals. Protein is our friend. The cream soups were delicious, but didn't givr me the substance and nutrients that I needed. I'm still drinking protein shakes, I only had my procedure on 3/3/20.
  21. My hospital provided an abdominal binder for me after surgery. Very useful the firsr few days following your procedure.
  22. How are you feeling? I'm devastated and trying to get through this process and honestly I don't know how I do this, but I do it. I believe in God and I have to believe in myself to be a good grandmother to my son's child. I have to be, I appreciate BP because of people like you Mello 1, GreenTeal, Fluffy chick, Catwoman and this March group is amazing. So was my old January group of people, I'm thankful for the opportunity to transform my lifestyle and better health.
