  1. @Losingit2018, yes, I think so too, inches equal pounds in the long run! #MerryChristmas
  2. @Superman84, thank you so much! I am feeling much better about it because I can feel the weight loss in the way my clothing fits and my rings! #MerryChristmas!
  3. @RaeSavage, you are right any loss is a good loss! Yes, just reading the prior post from prior surgeries they said just that as well but inquiring minds like you and I want to know! Lolol Merry Christmas!
  4. @LadyVS, thank you so much! That makes me feel so much better! Happy Holidays to you!
  5. Absolutely, I had my daughte putting things into the buggy for me when I went out and she loaded the car and unloaded it. Yes, that is very smart to have your daughter put your son in your lap! When doing laundry I have my daughter load and unload the washer and dryer especially if it is wet blue jeans or heavy towels. You sound as if you are doing amazing! Good luck to you and Merry Christmas! Keep up the good work!
  6. Thank you so much @izzybear420, I felt the same way and Happy Holidays to you as well!
  7. That sounds great! At my post-op visit yesterday, I was not released from weight restriction and could start walking. I took a trip to walmart that Sunday after I had surgery and was plumb wore out and was hurting but haven't had any issues since. I have been pooping since I have gotten home but it has started to become formed and asked doctor about taking miralax and was told as long as I am going I am okay and as long as I am not straining to go! Hoping my next visit I am released from any other restrictions due to I am ready to adventure out more! I am feeling good! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  8. Hello Everyone, Had my post-op visit (first one) yesterday 9 days post-op. Surgery for RNY was December 10th. I was told I lost on my 14 day liver shrinking diet 10 lbs more pounds but my weight was at 254 today, I was so upset! That is like two pounds more than my last weigh in at the doctor's office! The doctor told me not to be alarmed that I was still swollen from the surgery and my legs were swollen as well and he was not concerned about it! It still bothered me, My scales showed a total of 248 but either way, I got home and programmed my scales to theirs and I have another follow-up appointment for January 8th. My rings are loose as well as my clothing feels looser so I truly believe I am and I say, I am on the losing side but got a bit discouraged when I am doing exactly what they have instructed on the full liquid diet! Merry Christmas to me because on Christmas day, I advance to the Pureed stage of my diet! WoooooHoooo! Anyone else have this happen to them post-surgery and if so what was your response as well to the news?
  9. Six days post and I too had gas pain but used the gas x and feel fine! No pain a matter of fact took my last pain medication first day of surgery and hadn't taken any since, except for Sunday when I over exerted myself and took some OTC (Aleve) that was approved by my physican and have been fine since. So, please take it easy and relax! My bariatric friends had to express this to me!LOLOL Feel better soon!
  10. @LadyVS, yes, lesson learned! We are two peas in a pod for sure! Lolol
  11. @Losingit2018, yes we got this with the help of our Bariatricpal family, I will take it easy and let my hubby or family do the shopping without me until I get better!
  12. @DrBrianG, thank you so much you are absolutely right, I had a major surgery and need to slow down and just relax and let my body heal, I have to say my husband wasnt happy about it! I appreciate also the information on the kitchen appliances I want an air fryer and hope it is ine of my Christmas gifts! Thank you again!
  13. @DeadSpaceGrave, yes absolutely walking around the house gets me too! I think I am just going to slow it down! Thank you so much!
  14. Thank you for your response but I was advised by my physician I could!
  15. Had surgery Dec. 10th RNY, today I decided to go to walmart and pick up a small mixer that puree food as well, my daughter pushed the buggy and loaded items into cart but I was plum wore out once we got home, I am talking all vitamins without difficulty and on full liquid diet, getting in 3 unjury protein shakes a day, 1 1/2 8oz cups of chicken broth a day! Should I be doing anything different or just slow my roll? Had to take a couple Aleve!
  16. Thank you all for the support, it feels good to know you have people who have been there done that and are going there. Love you all and thank you again for all of the support!
  17. @shrinkingkris, I had my surgery Dec. 10th and I too was very nauseous, Did not receive any thing to drink or eat the day of my surgery but the next day received the broth, decaf tea/coffee, sf popsicles, apple juice and a Bariatric advantage fruit punch protein drink. Only when I got home yesterday I took the gas x and what a relief it was. I am feeling pretty good but have just a little pressure in my chest area. Have not had pain medication since first night of surgery. I hope all goes well with you! Get you some rest!
  18. Oh my goodness surgery went, my surgeon came in and prayed for us and was so kind and am a little sore but other than that feeling fine. Waiting now to be discharged and yes I have been walking, walking and walking! Broth, protein drink, sugar free popsicles, decaf coffee and tea! First day I was nauseated but feel fine now!
  19. I will keep you posted, it was listed on my clear liquid diet! I am not drinking anymore of it tonight!
  20. Thank you so much for your response @Losingit2018 I am going to drink a few bottles of water and see what happens and then give a call if not clear, I was almost clear until I started drinking the soup! Thank you again!
  21. So, I have surgery in the morning did my pre-op cleanse yesterday and been drinking the unjury chicken soup my poop is watery but not clear is that normal, should I be clear? Serious question, I am really wanting to know, I guess I might should have posted on post-op forum
