I’m three months out and I can barely eat 2-3 bites of anything! I’ve also had a bunch of complications, so that could be part of the problem. I know how you feel though being nervous to eat anything. Hang in there! I keep getting told it’ll get better. ??‍♀️

Has anyone else had fluid build up in their remnant stomach? I am 3 months out from the gastric bypass and about a month after I started getting sharp pains in my upper left abdomen and they have not subsided. I ended up having to have my gallbladder removed two weeks ago in hopes that was the problem. But it wasn’t, had a CT scan and it showed fluid in the remnant stomach. Doc says they want to see if it goes away in its own, but it’s gotten so bad that I can hardly stand or sit. The only relief I have is laying flat on my back. And I recently started having the dry heaves about every hour or two. Please tell me it gets better.

I’m having the hardest time eating anything! I instantly feel sick whenever I eat something. And it doesn’t matter what it is! I can’t seem to get this eating down and it’s so discouraging.

I had surgery on the 23rd. Woke up on the 24th feeling pretty good...then it went downhill from there. Pain pain pain! Nothing was helping. Doc ordered a CT scan to check for a leak, no leak but apparently my appendix wanted to come out. So back into the operating room I went. Couldn’t get ahold of anyone in my family...so that was awesome. It was like instant pain relief when that appendix came out. I’m still in a lot of pain, mostly from where I have staples. But I’m struggling to drink water. I hope everyone else is doing well after their surgeries! ?
