Pre-Op Diet
I only had to do mines for 5 days and with only liquids. (Sf jello, sf popsicles, protein shakes, water, Gatorade g2, and broth) I lost 10 pounds in those 5 days.

Must haves for right after surgery
Milk of magnesia is better in my opinion. It works way faster than Miralax. Get a ice pack in case you have an incision that hurts worse than the others. Protein shakes, sugar free jello, broth. Plenty of water.

Anyone with PCOS not lose weight after surgery
I had my bypass May 6, 2019 and I also have pcos... I’m also down 23 pounds as well. I lost 9 pounds during my 5 day pre liquid diet and 14 pounds after surgery. This is Day 10 for me from surgery.

Incision pain
Awesome and you’re sooo welcome. Make sure you keep that ice pack on it. My nurse said 20mins on and 20mins off but I just kept it on. Made sure I wrapped it in a towel and put it directly on that incision. Take those pain meds and good luck with your recovery :)

Yep that’s exactly how it feels.

Incision pain
Yep that’s exactly how it was with me. That was my first question I asked him. That one just kept giving me problems. Felt like I pulled a muscle or strained something. A weird painful feeling.

How soon does one poop post-op?
Milk of magnesia works the best... well at least for me.

Incision pain
I had that issue as well. Had my bypass May 6th and went to my first week post op yesterday and my surgeon said he had to go deeper down in my muscle. I used a ice pack and made sure to take my oxy and Tylenol... I’m doing just fine now. The ice pack really helped me.

May 2019 Surgeries ?
I had mines May 6th. Gastric bypass. I was npo after surgery except ice chips. But now I’m feeling sooo much better and down 20 pounds. I’m suppose to be on pureed foods starting yesterday but I’ve kind of skipped to soft foods. Had some Wendy’s chili yesterday. Will be having the rest of it today. Also I’m making tuna salad today for tmrw. I see my surgeon today so hope all good news...and congratulations to everyone that’s already had surgery and the ones that are scheduled. The best thing I’ve ever done. I have no nausea and no vomiting whatsoever. My stomach tolerates everything without upsetting it.

May 2018 Sleevers Check In Here!
I feel ok, I did have some sharp burning pain close to one of my incisions. Called my surgeons office and they suggested an ice pack and that helped a whole lot. Also for pain I have oxycodone and 1,000 mg of Tylenol. I still can’t tell when I’m full but I’m definitely not hungry. I have two 30grams of protein shakes a day and try to have 64oz of water... Also sugar free popsicles and pho (only the broth) are my faves lol
