April 2019 Surgeries!
I was sleeved on 4/11, I just had my 2 week appointment with the PA today. I am approved to move on to puréed foods for 2 weeks! Some soreness still which she said would be the case for a week or two more around the largest incision but otherwise my recovery has been smooth! I am back at work this week but sitting at a desk most of the day just trying to get up and walk a lap every hour or so. Still kind of hard to get both the 60oz of water and 60g of protein, I’ve set timers to remind myself to drink every 10 mins or so to make sure I can get the water in. Looking forward to some greek yogurt and refried beans tomorrow!! @girlaccountant I’m sorry you are already back at two jobs that has to be tough! @labgoddess I am struggling sometimes too especially because I am trying to take walks and halfway through getting really tired and hating that I have to turn around and walk all the way back ? but I am hoping that eating some actual food will help!!! Glad to hear everything is going pretty well for everyone and it will just keep getting better!

April 2019 Surgeries!
Sleeved on 4/11, so officially a week post op today. I’ve had mostly gas and some pain around the largest incision site but I have been up and walking. My follow up appointment is on the 24th at that point I hope to be cleared for purées! I spent one night in the hospital and have been home all week. Im able to work from home so I’ll probably “go back” to work tomorrow and work most of next week from home just to enjoy being home. Glad to read everyone is doing well and good luck to those whose are coming up!!!

April 2019 Surgeries!
Thank you for the tip @justmetj!!!! I will definitely keep that in mind. @naiad my mom came with me and has been with me most of the day, but they told me there was no visitation limitations so I have a couple friends planning on coming when they get off work. No one could visit while I was in the recovery room but now that I’m in my own room for the night I think anyone can come visit.

April 2019 Surgeries!
Hi all! My surgery was at 7:30am this morning. I was in recovery until about noon so about three hours (I think they were just waiting for a vacant room) and I slept most of the time. I’m on my first attempt to drink some water! Feeling bloated and a little pain in my abdomen, but mostly just like a bad period cramp ? so far so good! Glad to be on the losers bench and i don’t post a ton but it has been wonderful reading everyone’s progress! Everyone is doing awesome and I hope everyone else that had theirs today is recovering well!

Sending prayers & good thoughts for you tomorrow!! ☺️ I'm so glad it's getting better and better every day! Thank you for the thoughts and prayers...officially I have to arrive at the hospital at 4:45AM tomorrow so it will be a 7pm bedtime tonight hahahaha

New here...surgery date scheduled for 4/11/19
@labgoddess I can’t figure out how to quote/reply directly in mobile (very new to the forums and also not a whiz at technology ?). That’s basically how I feel too!! But I’ve done 9 days on liquid now, so right now I’m just ready for it to be done and not have to do any more waiting! I’ve gotten all my prescriptions and I’ve stocked up on protein powder and jello for when I get home after the procedure but still a little nervous! Can’t believe it’s only a few days away now.

HAVEN'T REALLY LOST ANY WEIGHT DURING TWO WEEK LIQUID DIET SURGERY IS IN TWO DAY.
I’m sure it will work out!!! My doctor has me on an only liquid diet so I’ve only lost weight because all I’ve had for the last several days are protein shakes, chicken broth and jello. Just positive thoughts it will all work out!!
