I had a BMI of 31 and PCOS ( Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome ) and I steadily gain weight every year. I used to really enjoy sport but had a grade 3 muscle rupture in my calf muscle which lead to other problems like straining my plantar fascia, the road to recovery was long and my PCOS got worse. I got depressed and started binge eating. I've decided that this is not going stop me and I went to see my surgeon. She came recommended by a friend of mine who had an absolute text book recovery and looks absolutely amazing 1 year post op. My surgeon explained that a BMI of 30 - 35 is very low but approved me because of the extent of my PCOS. I'm tired of this person who stares back at me in the mirror. I'm tired of being too heavy to run. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. This is me taking control. I wake some mornings and fear I'm not going to make my goal weight, I fear its going to be another failed diet, I'm looking for people in my boat. Someone who's done this. I know there are groups but only my husband knows I've had vsg!
