  1. Thank you! My surgery is tomorrow morning! I'm praying for the best!!
  2. OMG I want to ask my surgeon to do the same thing for me. I hope I can. Thanks!
  3. Yeah it's difficult to remember if you've never taken medicine regularly before. I'm struggling too...
  4. Yeah I think that's what I'm gonna do, too. They told me to take flinstones but I keep hearing bad things about it. Thank you!
  5. Can you take tablets instead of chewables?
  6. Does Centrum have Iron in it though? I heard we're supposed to take Iron too... I dont know
  7. Does it have to be chewable?
  8. Yeah I read that but honestly I'm kinda lost I don't know which one is best if not flinstones...
  9. I know this is probably the wrong thing to do but I just haven't been telling anyone but people that are really close to me. If I were to begin telling people and someone were to tell me I didn't have to do it I would probably just tell them that my doctor recommended it and they know best.
  10. Congrats! I'm so happy for you!
  11. Hello! I just had a question about eating and drinking before the surgery. My surgery is tomorrow morning 04/04 and my doctor said not to eat or drink anything after 10 pm. It's almost 10 right now and I ate about 4 hours ago and just drank a bottle of water but I feel like my stomach is full. I'm worried there'll still be some food or water in my stomach and intestines when they do the surgery. Is that possible? It just seems unreal that it could really completely empty out by 5 am...
  12. So i'm told during the surgery they're going to pump my stomach full of air so that they could move around and do stuff. Is that what everyone else does too? I'm thinking maybe thats why my doctor doesnt need me to do the preop diet... I'm only just hearing about the pumping air thing i dont think i've heard anyone talking about it happening to them. I don't know I'm just trying to make sense of it and decide whether or not i'm going to do the preop diet. My surgery is coming up soon so I don't have that much time to think about it.
  13. Wow!!!! What insurance do you have ? My advocate basically told me if I didn’t have dr documentation that I could always use pictures and write a letter. Yeah I don't know that's what I was told and it sucked. At least I'm done with all that now and my surgery is April 4!! Also, my insurance is AHCCCS.
  14. My insurance wanted 5 years of weight history. They wouldn't let me use pictures or anything they said it had to be weight as well as blood pressure and heart rate taken at doctor visits. I didn't have all that so I had to wait till i built it.
  15. Mine is April 4! I'm so nervous!
  16. Congrats! I wish you all the best!
  17. My doctor says I don't have to do the preop liquid diet. I'm worried. Will that make complications? I could do it on my own if i want to. Should I?
  18. My surgery is April 4 andmy doctor told me to start taking my vitamins last week. I was told to take Flinstones multivitamins but I remember reading an article online saying they're actually not as good as other multivitamins. I dont know. I'm trying to salvage my hair and such. What were you told to take? For people who've already had the surgery, what helped you?
  19. April 4 surgery date! I just had my pre op visit yesterday and everything is well and ready to go! I'm sooo nervous!
