I am right there with you! Surgery date was 4/11. I’ve gone from 252 day of surgery to 236 this past Sunday and haven’t dropped anything since. I’m getting a little concerned since I thought this first month was supposed to be the most and then it slows down in like 3-4 months.

Alright y’all... here’s the update. VSG done 4/11, surgery lasted an hour. And get this... ITS NOT AS BAD AS YOU THINK!!! Honestly!!! I was up and walking around 6pm. I was in and out of sleep all day but so doable! The day after 4/12, I was perfectly fine, the drain was a bit uncomfortable but that was all! I got a slight sore throat/cough that night and that is what made my stomach hurt. It was bearable pain but still hurt. Today I was discharged and they took the drain out at 7am and I have to say that is what hurt the most about everything (and I didn’t even hurt that much). Other than than energy levels are good. The key really is WALKING!!! As much as you can!!!! Take SUPER small sips of the jello, apple juice, chicken broth and you’ll be fine! No vomiting or nausea for me. Honestly everything was a lot better than I expected. For those of you worries about the pain or the after affects, DONT WORRY! Don’t let that hold you back!! If I can do this, so can you!!

Surgery time 8am tomorrow!!! Arrive at hospital at 7! So excited/nervous! Let’s do this!!!

Update on 7 day preop liquid diet: Day 1: soooo weird, my mouth wanted something to chew, it was such a weird feeling. I felt weird but was manageable. Day 2: HEADACHES!!!! Ommmggg. Oh and weak not tired but definitely weak. Day 3-5 actually pretty good!! I’m surprised by how okay I feel. My stomach feels less swollen, energy is alright. But honestly I love seeing some numbers being off the scale. I’m 5’4 24 years old Heaviest weight (2 weeks ago): 264 Current weight (today): 254 Goal weight: 1st - 180/ 2nd - 150/ 3rd - 130! I am scheduled for vsg this Thursday!!! Super excited and ready!!

Here we go! Day 1 preop diet! I am on my second protein drink of the day. Anybody have any advise on preop things we can eat that require chewing? Besides jello. It’s weird but i feel like my mouth is telling me like “ummm so are we not being used today” lol Hope everyone is doing great! Time is definitely flying by!!! ???❤️

April 12 for me in Monterrey, Mexico!!! I’m so excited yet nervous, scared, so many emotions.
