  11. Same here , I was feeling great until Day 10. My pain is the same near my belly button but no where near the incisions. I was told the same thing by the dr muscle pain. The heating pad and Tylenol is helping a lot.

  14. I’m experiencing the same pain right now. What is causing this ? I called the dr office and the PA said it could just be muscle pain to use a heating pad. It’s crazy because where the pain is there is no incisions.
  15. Glad to know I’m not the only one. I’m 10 days post op with 0 energy to do anything. It’s hard to meet the protein and water goals but I’m trying. I just really want to feel normal again but I know that will take time.

  17. I just wanted to say “You are not alone” the post op liquid diet is challenging. Hopefully you will be starting the purée stage soon. I also look at food pictures and videos mostly on Instagram and just like you I wouldn’t eat it if it was in front me. Just the thought of knowing you can’t have something makes you want it. We have come to far to jeopardize our success, good luck on your journey.
  18. I understand completely, I’m 8 days post op and I still have 2 weeks to go before I move to the next stage. I had 2 crackers with my broth, I know I just needed something different. We don’t have a lot of choices during this phase , but we do have to be careful. I’m not here to judge it’s confronting to know that someone else is going through the same thing. On the other hand I’m down 7lbs since surgery last week...... Whoop Whoop

  21. Day 6 here and yes the struggle is real. I’m hungry tired of water, broth, popsicles, shakes, all that. I can’t wait to reach the purée stage. So just when you think you got it bad there’s those of us that are still on liquids. So push through keep your head up, you got this.

  25. How is everyone doing ? I had my surgery on the 22nd and I’m starving. I’m on a 3 week liquid diet plus protein shakes. I have no problem getting liquids down I’m just sick of them and I want something to eat. Is this normal. What is your post op diet ?

  28. I have the chewable Bariatric advantage and I don’t like them. I know that I need to take these vitamins but the thought of the taste makes me sick. What brand of vitamins do you recommend that you like ?
  29. I refused to take anything stronger than Tylenol with codine to ease the pain and now I’m regretting it. I cant sleep , sit, lay down or anything without pain on my right side. Going to the bathroom is a job just getting up and down. Did anyone have this type of pain and discomfort your first week ? I’m 3 days post op and getting in fluids is almost impossible. HELP why did I do this again.....
  30. I’m 2 days post op and I’m struggling to get fluids down as well. I can’t even imagine trying to drink a protein shake right now.
  31. The hospital wanted me to pay close to the same amount as you and I couldn’t. So they asked for half and I couldn’t do that either. So I told her that I would pay my hospital co pay which was $200 and they agreed. You can always call them and see if you can pay your co pay and have them bill you the rest. Good luck
  32. I had surgery on Wednesday and as soon as I was able to stand up I took off walking. You have to walk to move the gas pain around. I’m still very sore and needed help to stand, but I knew I had to push through the pain. Make sure you ask for pain meds to make you comfortable and try to walk as soon as you can. I hope you feel better soon, take care.
  33. Hello just checking in to say I feel great. The nurses say I’m there poster child because I’m doing so well. No problems drinking thank the lord for that. I’m having just mild gas but nothing unbearable. I’m also walking every chance I get and I feel great. Thank you for the support !!!!!
  34. I cant believe how fast this whole process has happened for me. It seems like just yesterday I attended my WLS seminar. My seminar was actually 01-22-19 and here I am preparing for surgery 05-22-19 in the morning. Thank to everyone who’s responded to my post with encouragement and advice. See ya on the looser bench ....,,,
