Thanks for your reply. I think I will call the head of the Hospital that my surgeon works under and see what he has to say as my surgeon is out of town until June 9th (2 days before my surgery). I just want to be sure I'm getting the best tool I possible can. I would guess that if my insurance would pay for one they'd probably cover the other. Thanks and GREAT work! Much continued success. I just now learned about the Realize Band. My surgeon will not be doing this until July however, I am scheduled to have my lap band on June 11th - 5th day of pre-op diet. Any thoughts on the differences? I really like the idea of the RealizeMysuccess website - anyone know if Allergan is going to follow suit? Thanks, Mo

Hi Musicmom, Much success on your upcoming banding! I will be banded on June 11th. I can't even believe how fast the time is going by. I was going to do this 5 years ago and I backed out the night before. I can't believe that I did that. However, I am ready now and will be starting my liquid diet this coming Wednesday. I am so ready for the changes that will very soon be coming my way. We all have alot to look forward to and I am happy to have found this sight so, I have people to go on this journey with. Hi All! I am getting banded on June 11th. Does anyone know of an on-line support group or resource that my husband could go to to "learn" about being a supporter of a bandit? He is positive and wants to be supportive but I'm not sure he entirely knows how. I thought it would be helpful if I could lead him in the right direction so, he could do some research on his own. Hi! Here's 3 for Dr. Gazayerli. I'll be banded on June 11th. He is a very compassionate man and a GREAT doctor. I did attend a information session in Port Huron. They seemed very nice just chose Dr. Gazayerli over them because of his personality and expertise. Hope that helps. Marie

Hi June Bugs! I just found out today that I will have my surgery on June 11th! I can't believe it even as I type the date that it is all going to happen. I am so EXCITED! Of course, nervous and scared but above all - EXCITED. I have about a week before my pre-op diet. What an exciting journey we are all ready to embard upon. Hi Simon! I am new to the site also. I will hopefully have my bad done by the first week of June. So, it sounds like we may do this within the same time-frame. It is mind boggling that such a small amount of food will be satisfying but I believe it. From all the people I've spoken with and the research I've done it all points in the same direction...we are making the RIGHT decision. I'm now 44 (45 this year) and I am tired on this body I have trapped myself in. I cannot wait to begin although I am nervous.
