  1. I’ve been basically the same size for over 30 years, so I have zero skinny clothes to go back to, or zero in my closet. THANKFULLY, I have lots of those jersey swing dresses that will just hang off of me instead of draping over my belly. I can’t wait!
  2. Proud to be a Native Texan! Live north of Houston. Just had my sleeve one week ago - 12/26! Down 10+!
  3. My doctor has me on liquids for two weeks post surgery, then puréed food for 3 more weeks, then soft food for three more weeks then FINALLY, slowly starting regular food. Today was day 6 post surgery. I’m having zero issues! Feel great! I’ve lost 10 lbs since surgery, 16 since my last weigh in one week before surgery. Yay me!
  4. Jaadan79. I know all drs are different. Just reading these threads and reading when people are eating the different stages is SO different from what my dr says. That being said, have you called your dr about your throat? My dr only wants his office to see his patients the first 4-6 weeks. (With a visit to pcp)
  5. Just had my sleeve 12/26/18. So far I feel fabulous. Very little pain, zero nausea. I’m so excited about the future!!!
  6. I had my pre-op today... surgery date of 12/26. Merry Christmas to me! So excited! Today the lady doing my EKG gave me one of the stickers from the hospital with all my info on it, plus my surgery date. She told me to go home and put it in my Bible and every time I see it thank God for this time to get a new lease on my life. So sweet. Incredibly true too. So thankful!
  7. Walter— you NEED to get in touch with your dr or his nutritionist and review your eating regimen and choices. Even if you weren’t dieting you should NOT be consuming 3000 calories a day unless you’re preparing for your super marathon or something.
  8. I am still waiting for insurance approval. Because of insurance - met my very high out of pocket this year, I need to have surgery before 12/31. My surgeon says “no worries”. This 90day waiting period my insurance requires has just caused me anxiety if the truth be told. I’m 64, older than most on this site, and weigh about 285. I am so excited about this next chapter of my life.
