  2. So my 8 month post op is a little over 2 weeks away and I’m only 11lbs shy of “Onederland”! HW 451, SW 317, CW 210, GW 175. I’m 44 yrs old and haven’t seen these numbers on the scale in almost 30 years. Thankful for the journey. Hope everyone else is still doing great!

  14. Lol, how random, that’s exactly where we are going! I still may have to ask for the modified seats- but 180 lbs ago that wasn’t even an option!!!

  16. Haven’t posted in a while, but huge day tomorrow- one of my main motivations for surgery was being able to ride roller coasters with my daughter before she leaves the nest. Tomorrow is the first trial since I started losing, hopefully I will be able to fit in whatever I want to ride. Can’t wait for the first test run in my “new suit”!!! It’s worth the work, keep the improvements coming guys!!
  17. Trust the process, the stalls come at different times, and a 1 pound loss is better than a no loss stall any day! You got this, just keep doing what you are doing. A little more water maybe is the only thing based on what you said, but otherwise you are doing great!

  25. I know everyone’s experience is different, but I felt like sharing mine. For over 20 years of being morbidly obese and trying different diets only one thing seemed consistent as I looked back over my history in considering starting the “sleeve” journey. It was this- without exception that the biggest discourager, hinderance and ultimate enemy of all my attempts had been that darned scale. When I knew I had sacrificed, sweat and did everything I was supposed to it was the negative influence of the scale that thwarted my efforts- every time. I took it’s word that I was a failure. Sooooo, when I pulled the trigger on the “sleeve” journey I made it clear that the scale would not be going on this trip with me! Of course my doctors use it, but only as one of the tools to measure my progress. But I have refused to use it! Rather I lean on the other tools my bariatric team has given me, nutritional goals, accountability tools, exercise goals, vitamins and supplements etc, I treat these things like a prescription for my health, ergo if I follow them and they don’t “work” I just ask my team to revise my “prescription”. But the scale is subject to me and not me to it this way. I don’t mean to come of like it’s been easy and some days I thought “if I haven’t lost........” But only weighing in at monthly and sometimes bi monthly has taken the pressure off, stopped the mental stress and helped me to make the priority changing my habits regardless of what the scale says. That being said- you got this- if you are ready for the change don’t listen to no stupid scale!
  26. Thanks it’s daunting isn’t it ? ive done the pre op three weeks already I have to stay on it another two weeks I am allowed some food but it’s very strict so another 2 weeks of hunger in front of me Early days for you then well done on getting through the first week How are you feeling ? @EJustice I’m doing great now that I’m home, everything seems to be going good. The only thing, and not sure what the issue is, but my upper left body aches so bad I can’t sleep good.

  29. 3/12 sleeve, today has been best day, got down 3 -20 oz Gatorade zeros, 3 -11 oz premier Proteins, 2-17 oz waters, 6 sugar free popsicles and a cup of chicken broth. Slept on my side for the first time, and walked outdoors for a total of 30 mins 3 different times! Oh and I had my first BM!! So excited about that one- hadn’t taken any pain medication since coming home from the hospital, trying to get the train a moving!
