Heatheranne good luck to you. I was banded on 5/20 and so far so good. I researched the lap band for about 1 1/2 years. I started my actual journey on 2/19. So the wait wasn't too long from beginning to end.

Hi Nikki I live in Yorktown Heights and I had my surgery on 5/20 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. Where are you having it done.

I was banded on May 20th with the Realize Band. I am feeling pretty good so far. I don't go for a fill until the end of June I think.

It may be a sign of gall bladder. It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor.

I was banded on May 20th also. I am still sore but getting better everyday. My only complaint is that I have this gas pain in my chest that sometimes makes it hard for me to breathe, does anyone else feel that.

The pre-op diet is definitely not easy. I am on the optifast pure liquid diet. This morning one of my coworkers brought in bagels and I couldn't join them, and now they are having pizza for someone who is leaving. I feel for you believe me. We all need to hang in there for our own safety.

Good luck tomorrow. Just think - when you wake up after the surgery, you will be a brand new you. Please keep me informed. My surgery is scheduled for 5/20. Bella

Hi, I am from Northern Westchester, Yorktown Heights. I am going to Dr. Davis and the surgery is being done in Lawrence Hospital. I go for my pre-op testing today, and I am getting a little nervous. I had an ekg done last week and I was so nervous and my heart was beating so fast. I am trying to stay calm today. Continued success to all of you.

I started my two week liquid diet today. I am not on Optifast, but I am on Myoplex. The doctor said that was just as good. I guess if we really put our minds to it, we can do it. My girlfriend bought me a buttered roll this morning, and I said no, so that was a good sign, lol. I went back to my desk and drank my shake. Believe it or not, I am full so far. I am going to try to focus on other things and not food. I already told my kids that when I get home from work tonight we are going out. Kat, My doctor uses the Realize Band. Basically, the morning of the surgery, they will decide which one to use. I think it is based on their supply. I don't think there is any difference between the two. Bettina

Hi, I am actually scheduled for the May 20th. I have an appointment with my suregeon today and I meet with the dietician and the nurse next Tuesday. I wish you all luck.
