Mrs.Braxton<3 got a reaction from GreenTealael in Poop-TMI?So it’s been a month since surgery. I’m down 20lbs. ? but some days I poo a little and then I’ll poo a whole lot and get stomach pains. Then booty hole burns. I think it’s from acid or gas, idk. Anyone else have this?? -
Mrs.Braxton<3 got a reaction from Ed_NW in Shrinking the liverThank you both. Yeah that’s true.im glad I don’t have to do a liquid diet for 7 days too. I can’t wait!!!! -
Mrs.Braxton<3 reacted to Oct517 in Shrinking the liverEach surgeon has different requirements depending on your starting weight. I was not required to do any liver shrinking diet. I was only on liquids for 24 hours before surgery to make sure my stomach was empty during surgery. It seems like your surgeon thinks that your liver will shrink an adequate amount with only restricting your diet to dairy, meats, and nuts. Rejoice in the fact that you don't have to suffer through a 7 week liquid diet!
Good luck with your surgery!

Mrs.Braxton<3 reacted to Ed_NW in Shrinking the liverI just had my pre surgery consultation on Tuesday and am scheduled for surgery on the 17th. I have to do a low carb high protein diet to shrink my liver then the day before I do liquids only to make sure everything is empty and ready for surgery. Congratulations and good luck!

Mrs.Braxton<3 got a reaction from Ed_NW in Shrinking the liverI am so excited. I have my pre surgery consultation tomorrow. They needed to move it up from Monday to Friday so I'm good with that! Gave me a tentative surgery date of the 18th!!! I can't wait.
So they asked me to start on the diet now that is supposed to shrink my liver. I see a lot of ppl talk about a liquids diet only before surgery but they asked me to eat only dairy, meat and nuts.
I can't wait to see what they say tomorrow in my appointment. I'm so ready!!!

Mrs.Braxton<3 reacted to Mrs.Braxton<3 in Pre Opt Diet PillsI'm sorry, I don't know what those acronyms stand for LOL. I am doing the sleeve surgery. I feel a little uneducated about my surgery. I been waiting so long for the insurance to approve it that I been focusing on getting them what they want.

Mrs.Braxton<3 reacted to Kay07 in Protein PowdersI know many people conduct food funerals. I don't know why I didn't, I just kind of said enough was enough but I am pretty much the lone wolf in that regards. A lot of people felt a sense of closure when they had the last of their favorites before going into the more rigorous diets required for their pre-op. Do exactly what you feel like will give you the best sense of peace moving forward.
If your a coffee aficionado though, I would HIGHLY recommend breaking that caffeine addiction PRIOR to your pre-op liquid diet because dealing with withdrawals while also going through the "I could eat my arm off but all I get is this protein shake" phase would be HELL. I was so so so thankful I quit caffeine immediately and had 2 months to recover before I had to recover from surgery too.

Mrs.Braxton<3 reacted to Tallandcurvy30 in Help. Pre-opI’m supposed to be on a 10 day post op starting yesterday but I keep cheating ??♀️. 1 Toddler size portion/meal and nothing UNHEALTHY. I was put on a Protein Shake, broth, coffee and popsicles pretty much diet. How are u guys staying committed ? What does you’re preop consist of?
I feel defeated. :/ -
Mrs.Braxton<3 reacted to Hop_Scotch in getting really close!Hopefully its all good news from hereon in.
Nerves are a natural part of the process as is fear of failure. Just know there will be ups and downs, stalls and times you will want to give your sleeve back. On the positive side, you will lose weight, you will regain your health, you will regain your shape. In conjuction with your doctor set reasonable and achievable goals, follow instructions for your pre op and post op diets they are there for a reason.
Good luck
