Less than a child’s portion. Just a few oz.

I was eating anything I wanted. Just ultra small portions. Beef and pork...no problem. The only think I can’t tolerate more than a nibble of...bread, especially a biscuit.

Small portions of anything I could tolerate at that point.
Just tell them you’re on a diet and watching portion sizes .

More importantly, what does your RD or doc's office say about your diet at 6 weeks? They are all SO very different! I was eating about 1/4-1/3c of food at 6 weeks and anything I wanted. About 2oz of food.

Per my surgeon, I will be on soft/pureed foods for 10 weeks (after 2 weeks of liquids) which lands right in the middle of the holidays!

Mine is a 2 week plan. First week is 2 protein shakes per day plus 1 meal (4-6 oz lean meat and 1 1/2 C vegetables). I'm now on week 2, which is 4 protein shakes per day. Of course lots of water/clear liquids. I can also have broth, SF Jell-o and SF popsicles. I've had no hunger issues or cravings. (Yay!) Surgery is Monday!

I can't have whey proteins, so I use soy and rice. The problem with pea protein is that it doesn't have the amino acids that whey protein has, so you HAVE to supplement with a vegan protein supplement if you rely on pea proteins. They sell the supplement on the Unjury website. Rice protein isolates are the only other proteins that have all the amino acids added in, as far as I could tell. When I *could* tolerate whey, my favorite ever was Nectar Fuzzy Navel. Oh lawd it was tasty. 365 Everyday Soy Unsweet Vanilla from Whole Foods tastes like cake batter. Nom nom.

Whey protein is #1 and the latest one that is catching up to whey is pea protein. If you buy the powder, you can mix it with water and drink it really cold. Just read the product info before buying to make sure you aren't getting a lot of sugars etc...

And I think the Tropical ones are the best, just bought another box. They are my go-to snack/dessert now that pies, cakes and cookies no longer live at my house?

I have yet to vomit since my sleeve in August (knock on wood). Came close one time at about 5 after eating some chicken that was too dry but the feeling subsided after 10 minutes. First few days I had a hard time getting comfortable in bed. Needed help getting out of bed for 2 days. Gas pain in shoulder was horrible but just the 1st night when in hospital. Tomorrow is 8 weeks since my sleeve and no regrets here! Down 38 lbs including the 2 week pre-op diet. ?

I was surprised how little hunger I had on the pre-op diet. I was actually more nauseated than hungry. Some days I had to force the shakes down. That actually made it easier than I expected. ? Good luck @Vccc

I am on day 6 of my 7 day liquid only diet. I do 3 protein shakes, SF jello, SF popsicles and 1 bowl of broth everyday. I have my moments when I really want solid food but I just grab a popsicle and it takes my mind off it. It's been easier than I thought. Surgery in 2 days.

I get to drink 3 protein shakes a day and 2 light yogurts.
Two days before surgery I can only have 65-80g of liquid protein a day, but it has to be clear liquids such as clear protein drinks, zero calorie sports drinks, frozen sugar free popsicles, fat free clear broth, sugar free Jello and decaf tea.

This is what I was given. I didn't do the lunch part of it. The low calorie entree was a healthy choice frozen entree. It turned out to be about 1200 calories per day. The weight came off pretty fast.

I did 2 weeks liquid only. 4 shakes a day, sugar free yogurt, pudding and jello. Every program is different. Mine had a daily meal plan and it was very specific.

Mine was two shakes a day and a meal of 4-6 oz lean protein (turkey, chicken, or fish) and veggies. I did that for three and a half weeks.
