  1. Friustr8, have they done the EGD yet? Hoping you will get relief soon.

  3. I hope it’s just a need for a simple dilation. Hope they find the issue quickly! Praying for you!
  4. I am very confused. I am 7 days post-op. I am walking about 3 miles a day, in 3 20-minute increments. I am drinking my protein and eating 3 x’s a day. But I am in a constant state of feeling full and hungry and tired. Am I doing too much? Too little? They kept telling me if I walked more I would feel better after the surgery, but it just makes me hurt and more hungry. How can I tell when I eat too much? How can I tell when I’m really hungry? How can I tell when the pain is caused by doing too much? How can I tell if the unending tiredness is from not eating enough?

  6. Mine is on Wednesday. I am very excited and can’t wait! Best wishes to you and many prayers!
  7. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, 9/18. My husband had a horrible dream last night that I didn’t make it through surgery. The doctor came out and told him what happened and then he had to tell our children about it. It was a very vivid dream and has gotten him very uncomfortable and upset. Any words of advice or things I could do to help calm his fears would be appreciated.

  15. After the 6hrs of being hot did you get cold or just comfortable after that?
  16. I’m usually very cold in the hospital and was planning to bring a warmer blanket. Is it normal to be hot after this surgery? Was it the medicine causing it for you?
  17. Oh that’s so good to know. I too thought the pain would be pretty bearable. I’ll have to be ready for that. As for the “sharting”, that is so embarrassing when it happens. Does anyone know if I can do a cleanse the day before?
  18. Thanks for the idea. I am going to do that this weekend! Fridge, CHECK! Now for the pantries...sorry kids!
  19. Yes. I bought several containers of bullion thinking that I would be drinking it a lot for pre-op. On day one I made a 32 oz container of chicken bullion. It grossed me out so bad that I won’t touch it now. If anyone needs bullion just let me know!! ?

  21. No, my test was negative as well.
  22. Sounds like what I call the gnawing feeling...it’s a dull ache that goes away temporarily with food. I hope the medicine you are on takes care of the issue. I don’t remember what medicine I was on, I just remember it being a nasty tasting liquid (very metallic tasting). Ugh!

  25. I did have the gnawing feeling in my stomach when I was hungry, like something was eating out my stomach and I was going to die if I didn’t eat something quick. I also had really bad heartburn. I just thought it was reflux though. I didn’t think it was significant enough to get checked out.
