Dr. Michael Snyder - Great Surgeon!
If you are supposed to be on Clear Liquids then why would you push it to something that is not. Follow what your post op directions say exactly, you need to heal. If it says clear liquids, then don't push it.

A few more issues
The first day of this new site I was able to go to my settings and reset up email notifications. However, unlike the old site where you just got notified when someone posted and not again until you visited the site, you got an email every time someone posted. However, it only lasted a day and then that stopped working again. I hate having to scroll around when I do come back to the site to find where I left off in the threads I frequent.

Christian bandsters
Sherri, I had many of the same concerns before I got my band as well. But there are many kinds of addictions and many programs and aids to help them. I look at the band as my aid, God provided doctors and this is a tool, the band didn't do the work, it just helped me do the work. I read a lot of the horror stories beforehand too, I wanted to be educated, but then I had to stop reading. It scared the you know what out of me. There are far more success stories than there are horror stories out there. I think we need to go into this with our eyes wide open and make an educated decision with God's guidance as for what is right for us. I have no regrets other than wish I had gotten my band sooner. I've been very successful and have had no complications. I don't even know the band is there now unless I eat too fast or too big a bite. Good luck to you in your decision, Pray about it and go from there.

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
Glad to hear from you Allie, I was worried as one of the last times you posted it was about gaining and then you disappeared. Glad it was just because you were out enjoying that new body and bikini! Congrats! Hawaii, huh? That would be fun. I am going there next month does that count? LOL Keep up the good work.

2 years!
My 2 years was June 5th, I lost 126 lbs my first year, maintained it my 2nd year. Then with a move, DD's wedding, etc. I did gain about 15 lbs. I am now working hard on getting those back off, not as easy as the first time. I joined the gym here, got my fill back (had to have some taken out a while back). I too struggle with the head hunger and wanting more and with still seeing myself as the fat person, hopefully my head will catch up with my body. Another thing I am cold all the time!

How Much Have You Lost So Far?
Congrats JK!! I am doing pretty well. I lost 126 lbs my first year, I maintained that pretty much my entire 2nd year however, in the recent couple months have gained about 15 that I am trying to lose again. I had 2 knee replacements and a move out of state and well things just got away from me. But I am stopping it at 15 lbs before it gets to 50!

Weigh in... how much have u lost?
Congrats Sara, I use that Lose it ap and I love it! Always with me and the database is pretty extensive. And I like how I can go to previous meals and just copy them as I tend to have some of the same things a lot.

Colorado Anyone
Congrats! I am not real familar with either dr. I went to Dr Brown's seminar but he did not come to it so I never met him. I called Dr K's office and the gal on the phone I believe her name was Natalie was quite rude so that was my only dealings with them. I hear many people are satisfied with both of them so you need to go with the one you are most comfortable with. I went with Dr Snyder as a self pay. There are many dr to choose from and everyone likes something different. The one you pick will also be responsible for your after care so keep that in mind as well and pick the one you feel meets your needs the best.

Denver Post article
I used Dr Snyder in Denver and was self pay as well. He is great, but very busy. I would recommend him in a heart beat. Good luck to you!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
Sorry you are going through a tough time. It's been a few days since you posted and I hope that things have improved some for you. Just keep focused on how hot those legs are going to look, the whole body for that matter! Hang in there!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
Allie you are looking and sounding great. Are you glad you did the PS?? I can't wait to see more pics of the thigh lift after you heal more. So sounds like thigh surgery is less painful but more difficult recovery? I will have to get some of that mederma and try it on my knee scars.

Good luck tomorrow! I am extra anxious to hear about this procedure as it's the one I would get if I could.
