I got my pain checked out and I had a pulled muscle. It went away in week 3 and now I’m feeling just fine. Thank you for your replies!

Hi all - I’ve lost 10 pounds on my pre-op diet & gained 14 in the hospital with all of the IV fluids. it took me a few days, but I lost the fluid weight plus an additional 5 pounds. I am only on protein shakes and water and I’m not even having that required 3/4 protein shakes a day (averaging 2.5/3). I will be 3 weeks out on Wednesday and have started gaining weight! Grrrrr..... How is this even possible? Anyone else experiencing something similar?

I agree with you. I am almost three weeks post op and have had an excellent experience with this practice. I had Gandsas do my sleeve because of all the great feedback I’ve heard. He’s definitely no~nonsense and is not much for small talk. I had minimal pain after surgery and no gas pain at all. His support team has been fantastic too.

I know this is an old post, but I’m having the same issue. Did you ever figure out where the pain was coming from and how long did it take to go away?

I’m 1.5 weeks post op. I’ve had no real issues so far, the surgery & healing process have been smooth sailing. I went to the movies with a friend last night, I noticed halfway through the movie that I would get a sharp pain under my left rib cage if I was to breathe deeply. It is not a steady pain, and I don’t even notice it when I breathe normally, but if I take a deep breath it starts to hurt And stops hurting when I let the breath out. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am 6 days post op sleeve and have been on water/juice only since surgery. I have been cleared to drink broth & protein shakes so I tried both. I had about 3 sips of each sloooowly (hours apart) & had the same reaction. It’s like my chest fills with air/gas, hurts for about 5 seconds, then I feel/hear a gurgle followed by a burp. It is very unpleasant. This does not happen with water, just everything else! Anyone out there having the same experience?
