Hi I have had my lap band operation done at the Beacon Hospital in Sandyford. It was €11500 for a year of complete care. So far I can say they have taking great care of me. Whatever you choose, best of luck as I do understand how hard it is to find someone to do the operations and put your trust in as it is a life decision. Take care and let me know what you do? Hi All I am from Dublin and had my banding done on Monday the 21st of April 2008. To be honest all the research in the world has not prepared me for the pain after the operations. It is now day 4 and I am starting to feel a little better. I did lose 1 stone in the 2 weeks before the operations on the liquid diet and the doctor says I should lose another stone in the next two weeks which is positive and makes me feel happpier that I did the operations. My only advice to anyone is make sure that you have picked the right doctor and care for you as there are many people out there offering lots of different packages? The question is it the right package for you as this is a life decision. Thanks for read my comments Kathryn
