  2. I was told no crackers/toast. I’m 4 weeks out and am just now doing soft fish, tuna mostly. And my protein shakes. I can’t tolerate anything other than that.
  3. Hang in there Elizabeth. They will get you fixed up and you'll get to leave soon. ?
  4. @skodes. Good luck! We are here for you!!
  5. @camille88. You sound EXACTLY like the things I experienced. My surgery was on the 11th. My stomach made sounds too and kinda freaked me out. Lol. I think it's pretty normal. I had lots of trouble getting anything down first 6 days and the migraine was awful. I started drinking Propel for the electrolytes and it stopped the headaches. I'm on day 7 and things are actually starting to feel better.
  6. Sleeved 10/11. Everything that goes into my stomach causes cramping so I hare to drink anything. I'm having lots of trouble getting all fluids in. ? I hope it gets better. ?
  7. Mine was on 10/11 and my taste buds are now coming back. Think it was anesthesia for me.
  8. @UncleBreezy. Good info to know. I wish dr office would have explained more of what to expect post op. Glad we have internet to help each other!!
  9. @UncleBreezy. I haven't been drinking much at all. Been too scared to see how my stomach will react. I'll start tomorrow trying to get the fluids down. Ugh. Lol. Hope you are doing well.
  10. Hi Oct 11th surgery pals. How are you all doing? I'm still on pain meds and today started this new cramping that hurts terribly. Not sure if it's gas or constipation!!! Not getting much down either. Maybe my age (59) has this surgery hitting me harder than normal.
  11. Oh and I have to talk to a psychologist too.
  12. I am self-pay but still will go through steps that insurance payees go through. I'm 59 and hoping for an October date. I have to lose 20 pounds before he will consider surgery. They are testing patients to see if they will be able to comply with the diet regimens given post and pre op surgery. THEN I get the lucky clear liquid 2 week diet. An ekg will be done at hospital at pre-op. Dietician did give me a phamplet and went over foods and activities to do post and ore surgery. But I am old and didn't really soak it all in. I've read online some but when I found this group I hit the jackpot. I have learned SO much from all of you and am so grateful!

  14. October 11th .. I'm hoping to lose.. back pain, knee pain, foot pain, diabetes, and about 20+ meds a day! I'd be so happy.
  15. I probably shouldn't have read these posts of all the things I shouldn't eat but might be able to still eat since I'm post surgery. ???
  16. WoW. So happy a 50+ post came up! I'm 59 and surgery scheduled 10/11/18. Love reading about all of you hero ladies doing so well. Gives me strength to get through this. Thank you!!
