  1. Hi all I wanted to compare notes with you guys as we are coming g up on 2 years. So lately almost everytime I eat I get nausea and end up vomiting, no matter what it is. Along with that vh the amount I normally eat has been reduced I'm full a lot sooner than usual. Now I must mention I did just recover from the flu on pack and Tamiflu and I maybe a little dehydrated, looking for any advice or similar stories to help me out.
  2. hospital weight and starting weight
  3. what are your stats if I may ask ( height, sw, hw, one year weight)
  4. Ok wasn't quite sure what this meant but hoping it was maintenance.... thanks for the responses.
  5. Does this continue for ever lol or will it stop, I'm at my goal and just want to be consistent no gain it loss.
  6. Hi my fellow Feb sleevers just curious as to why I seem to be losing and gaining the same 5lbs for the past 4months, anyone else experience this too.
  7. I had my hysterectomy years before my sleeve but I've seen other posts where people have said they were going through the same thing, just curious because everything happens in phases with the sleeve.
  8. So I am a year and 2 months out and have noticed I keep losing and gaining the same 5lbs. Did anyone else experience this, how long will it last, and what does this mean.
  9. In that case since you know why and when your gain happened it's just a matter of getting back on track, you have the tools. Good luck to you ?
  10. First let me say congratulations on the wieght loss, now what everyone needs to be mindful of is that our bodies have the final say on our numbers. I get it we have all been overweight so long and dream of being skinny that we over shoot our goal weight. So when our bodies go down too low the body automatically adjusts by adding some back. Think about it for the most part everyone who complained about gaining was only a 10-20lb difference. What that says to me is our bodies looks for and will eventually find true homeostasis, meaning comfort zone or ideal body wieght not some European body chart (FYI Europeans have a smaller frame than the average American, have you ever purchased a pair of shoes with a euro size you always have to get a bigger size for a true fit). Your wieght loss is very commendable and you should be proud of yourself because I am if it means anything.
  11. well i have been experiencing side pain and had a ct scan done finding i may have nephrocalcinosis which is calcium build up in kidney. This can lead to kidney failure at worse case scenario, so i am electing to stop the calcium caltrate. When i had my stomac scan prior to surgery they told me my stomach is not the usual oval like shape, its actually oblonged and explains why i never felt full. So although my stomach is smaller i can still get in a full meal (ie protien, side and some veggies) so i dont think im lacking in vitamins and explains the excessive levels thus far. I have made my doctor aware of my decision and ill get follow up labs and ct scan in like 6 months.
  12. I am 10 months post op and have been having pain in my left side, i went to my surgeon and he ordered a ct scan. Although I have no stones they did find i may have nephrocalcinosis, which is a build up of calcium in the kidneys, so i am deciding to stop the calcium citrate pills and just do the multivitamins. When i had my stomach scan before the surgery they found that it is oblonged (very long) which was why i never felt full. So even though my stomach is now smaller the shape is still the same and i can still get in a complete meal ie protein a side and some veggies (just smaller quantities). With that being said I don't feel I'm vitamin deficient anyway so taking supplements 3x a day maybe an overload and the reason for the build up in my kidneys. I have informed him of this but just looking to get some feedback from actual patients who may have experienced this
  13. Frustr8 Not sure what you mean
  14. I am now noticing this usually happens and intensifies right after eating
  15. Not sure if it's gallbladder issues or not but I am now 9 months out experiencing left side lower abdominal pain sharp pain under my left breast on the left side of my neck and shoulder with headache. Looking for input, has anybody else experienced this
  16. What medication is this, my doctor never mentioned anything about it.
  17. Well isn't that what the BMI indicates your health status, my team is fine with it and I am in a healthy range than before. Just remember being too thin is also unhealthy but I get it being overwieght for so long everyobe wants to see what it's like being skinny but to that's only going from one extreme time the next. I'm all about being proportioned and at this wieght I definitely am. Good luck to finding your comfort zone.
  18. I think as African-American women we have a different goal as far as weight loss, 185 is a good goal. My thing was I want to be proportioned not skinny so im good at 198 because at 5'6" I look a lot smaller than the number anyway. Good luck on your journey you can do it ??.
  19. I intentionally started my maintenance because I am comfortable where I am, I look a lot smaller than the number on the scale.
  20. You look amazing.... are you maintaining or do you still want to lose.
  21. Are you maintaining now, if so how???
  22. I guess I'm in the lower wieght category as well I went in at 238, I list 40lbs and I'm good with that. It was at slower but I started maintenance at 6 months.
