  7. The IV fluid can also do wonders for rehydrating you while you recover, and you camt get that at home. Think of your hospital as place to receive CARE, and you deserve that after surgery. (And part of the care package is getting up and walking) You'll do great!

  11. When I teach patients amd their families in post op, I notice that whole learning style thing is evident (visual, auditory, tactile) So, people learn differently. Also, some of us have a knack for health care info, others have their gifts/strengths in other areas. The people in our country are not, for the most part, stupid. 24. I am a nurse, and I have heard urologists say to drink lemon juice in your water to help prevent renal stones.♡
  25. My son said he tried them, for the same reason, afternhis bypass, and they made him extremely nauseous. He switched to Pills and did fine...
  26. I know that I have experienced discrimation based on my weight. I work in the medical field, which is very health and weight conscious, of course. I have a charge nurse who makes cutting remarks about weight, though I have objected enough that it has decreased some. Persons who smoke, and overweight persons, are the "safe" groups to discriminate against, IMO. The viewpoint that these groups of people cause their own health issues by their actions, makes it ok to judge, mistreat, and discriminate (again, IMO) Any agreement/disagreement?[emoji5]
  27. I agree, I've been researching, got the same book, did a 3 day fast already. My eczema cleared quite a bit, my skin looked great, my arthritis called down a LOT. It was good, I will be doing it again[emoji5] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using BariatricPal mobile app
  28. I'm a post op R.N, working in a hospital, and my surgery is in September (sleeve). I can attest that often people overpack, and simply dont use the stuff. This forum is great, though, because phone chargers are something we get asked about often[emoji4]
