  2. Hi August Buddies! How is everyone doing...I had my 3 month followup last week and even though I feel like my weight loss is going really slow...she told me I've lost 58% of my excess weight...in just 3 months. I want tell everyone, but then I would have to admit how much I weighed ? so instead I told a couple people I trust and YOU ALL!

  8. Hi guys, I'm a couple days over 3 weeks out, wondering what everyones daily calories are? Mine are anywhere between 400 and 600. I'm starting to feel like I could eat more. I dont want to push it too much, but my weight loss has been slow and I'm a little worried about upping my calories to 1000. Thanks for the info LIsa sw 262 cw 232.8
  9. @Megan Sadler Hi Megan, my bypass surgery was also 8/21 sw 262 sw 244 cw 232.8...we are very similar! Lisa

  12. HI group, Im now 3 weeks post op. Feeling pretty good...but trying to understand all these new "feelings" in my belly lol. The constipation has been a problem and I have not yet found a solution. I have taken milk of magnesia a couple times when it was really bad and that worked but I cant take that every day. I have been taking a stool softner in pill form everyday and its not doing anything. I may try the stuff you stir in water. Can anyone recommend something that doesnt have strong flavor or taste gritty? My doctors office told my all my liquids count toward "water" so my cup of tea in the morning counts and my breakfast protein shake counts. I make the protein shake with a scoop of chocolate protein isolate, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 8oz of cold coffee. So that alone gives me 16oz of liquid and 31g of protein. The rest of the day is water and protein. I like the ricotta bake, egg salad, baked talapia, kidney beans, greek yogurt and my evening "treat" is a no sugar added fudgcicle (yum). I am band to rny revision and the weight is coming off very slow. I'm okay with that I guess I've lost 9.8 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Hope everyone is doing great! Lisa

  18. Hey fellow August surgery people... How are you all doing??? I had my bypass on the 21st. Discharged on 22nd and feeling pretty good. Have a follow up appt tomorrow and plan to return to work on Sunday. I had the band in 2010 and had it removed in 2016, For some unknown reason, this has been the easiest of the 3 surgeries. I feel like its the most complicated and yet I feek okay. I'm ready to move on from liquids, fairly confident I will get the go ahead for that tomorrow. On to mushies! I hope everyone else is doing well. Lisa

  21. all I needed was a ride home...have been by myself for a couple days now...even taking care of 2 dogs, 1 cat and 4 chickens! I honestly thought i would need help with the chickens since they are at the bottom of the yard. But I just take everything really slow, no need to rush thru anything.
  22. Be patient. Don't weigh every day if its going to bother you. PIck one day a week and let that be weigh in day. If you still need to step on it every day, don't worry about the weight until weigh in day. You'll do fine.
  23. That sucks for both of you!
