JessiG got a reaction from Kcoley in 8 days post op & barely feeling the restriction I felt even two days ago. Normal?I'm very nervous that something is wrong or my body is defective. I cant help but notice each day liquids go down more quickly and greater amount with zero problem. I haven't been nauseated, I haven't thrown up at all and I had serious restriction right after surgery up until day 5. Now on day 8, feeling hunger pains. Could I have stretched my pouch even this early and only on stage 2!?

JessiG reacted to Matt Z in 8 days post op & barely feeling the restriction I felt even two days ago. Normal?Liquids *SHOULD* go through through you... That's a good sign, means your swelling is going down. That'll be why you are getting some hunger as well, those aggravated nerves are healing up and getting back to their normal jobs. Your body isn't defective, wait for those foods and you'll get some restriction again.

JessiG reacted to Screwballski in 8 days post op & barely feeling the restriction I felt even two days ago. Normal?Liquids were only difficult a few days for me. Within the first week, I could take big swallows. Now, weeks later, I can easily gulp 4-6 ozs of light liquids before coming up for air (not saying we should). I still can’t handle more than 2 ounces of food chewed to purée though. Not without being super uncomfortable. And, boy, am I grateful! -

JessiG got a reaction from Frustr8 in How do you tells others about your transformations.Obviously I think its individualized. What I think I will say is that, "I'm working really hard."
Just didn't know if others had different answers

I have never vomited. I have never dumped.
I did have a few episodes with foods that didn’t sit well. When this happens it feels like I’m having a heart attack. Once it happened with diced ham. Once it happened with this protein cake thing I ordered from here. I ate two bites, felt like I swallowed a basketball. When it happens, you’ll know.
I had a strong stomach before my surgery so I’m not shocked by my lack of nausea, vomiting, or other things some people experience.

You should not experience dumping on full liquids. Dumping is caused by eating sugary foods. You could get it if you drink full sugar gatorade, lemonade, etc.
-
You are fresh out of surgery. If you’re staying on the liquid diet within all your parameters, you shouldn’t be dumping. Some may get nausea but that’s somewhat normal. Even when you start eating, not all people get dumping. I don’t and it was a concern for me; but then again, it’s all self control.
When you start eating foods, even soft foods, you may have an aversion to some.

JessiG reacted to apositivelife4me in I found a protein shake on Amazon that has 40 grams of protein in each cartonHave you ever had the Pure Protein shakes?

JessiG reacted to soph504 in I found a protein shake on Amazon that has 40 grams of protein in each cartonYour body can only absorb about 25-30g of protein at a time, so going beyond that in one meal isn’t going to help. I recommend the premier protein shakes 3x a day. They are only 11oz and go down easy.
