  1. Hang in there girl! It will get better and easier...
  2. About the same as you; getting 48-54oz of my liquid in each day...more is a real challenge. Taste buds seem the same but i am not craving sweets like I used to. Everything I've tried had worked well. So far, so good! I am in a stall for the past three days or so.
  3. Mine was 10/22 as well! How are you feeling two weeks out?
  4. I've never had genepro but I like the unflavored Unjury protein powder. You can mix it into all sorts of things. They also make a chicken soup flavored powder that some people love.
  5. I know that liquid in the morning helps me. I wake feeling hollow or empty, even though I don't feel the normal version of "hungry". And when I'm eating, the uncomfortable full feeling, like you just had three plates of Thanksgiving food, is the difference of one small baby-spoon bite. I've been lucky to have no nausea since I was in the hospital.
  6. And yay for your post op tomorrow! Let us know how it goes [emoji4]
  7. Thanks for the reassurance, I'm so glad it's not just me! So appreciative for this resource and all of your collective experiences that you share [emoji170]
  8. I am two weeks out as of tomorrow and am stalled myself for the past three days. I went down 13, back up 2, and there I've sat. I'm just starting pureed, getting 48-54 oz of my water. Frustrated. Not sure how I could consume so little and nor continue to lose this early! I'd never realized stalls happen this soon in.
  9. My doctors office sells it but I also order online from Unjury.com the chocolate splendor powder is awesome too [emoji7]
  10. It's awesome! I mix it with everything I drink
  11. I didn't have a drain. But when the glue fell off my incisions I did put a little Neosporin on those. Glad you're home now.
  12. You're far from a failure. This is not easy and just doing what you've done is a huge deal! Stay the course, you will be fine [emoji6]
  13. Good luck to you and kudos on the therapy, you're being so smart and so proactive. Everyone I know knows about my surgery. I don't love that they do, but I know it will better keep me accountable. And if they're not close friends, I don't care what they think anyways! Haha.
  14. Hey, twin! I'm glad to hear you're doing about the same. I'm thankful to not feel hungry. Hang in there, this will be so worth it. [emoji172]
  15. Thanks for the reassurance!
  16. SERIOUSLY, you are like my spirit animal right now. My fave food ever. And looking forward to when I can have ONE and be satisfied not even finishing it! And not eat the chips & salsa and Spanish rice!
  17. I totally agree with@crankymagpie. Your good, true friends will remain. There will always be catty people who judge, but they're not your important support circle, so try not to let it bother you. I'm only a couple of weeks post op but my close friend ships and marriage have not changed. I have heard the same thing as well.
  18. Thank you! And yay, you are rocking it...16lbs! That is awesome
  19. Thank you for the info!! It's helpful knowing I'm not the only one in this poop-free boat, lol!
  20. You have given me hope! I was sleeved 10/22 and still nada for me. I'm taking colace and benefiber in my water. Going to try miralax tomorrow. And thinking I will up the yogurt and cut out the cheese lol
  21. Hey everyone...who had their sleeve done 10/22 ish? I had mine with no issues. Surgical pain in the hospital, threw up once in the hospital when I got out of bed for the first time. Dishcharged the mornong after surgery. Narcotic pain relievers for that day and the next, tyelnol only for the following 8. Nothing for a couple of days now. I'm on full liquids and transitioning to pureed. I'm getting about 48-52oz of my water in. No discomfort eating or drinking. Some gas pain at first was due to drinking too much too fast. I am not hungry which is so bizarre as you all know. Sometimes I wonder if they really removed my stomach. I'm having no issues with pain and eating. No BM since surgery but went a lot right before and only liquid since. I've always been a 1-2x a week person, not sure how long this should take. I'm taking colace and benefiber. I feel like a freak, I can't seem to find anyone who's had a recovery like mine yet. If anyone has been similar, let me know ?? I'm so excited for all of us. I've lost 13lbs since surgery, and my blood pressure and blood sugar has corrected. I'm already off three of the five RX meds I was on, and another has been cut in half. I'm so stoked and excited about this journey. Yay, us!
  22. Thank you! It's certainly been a lot, but it will be worth it in the end!
  23. Insurance approval after first appeal. Horrible company and an 18 month medically supervised diet and 10% required weight loss and maintenance of that loss...it's all led me to my sleeve surgery on October 22. It's been so long and such a fight that now it's surreal. Working on all the pre surgical medical stuff now. I'll turn 41 a week after my sleeve. BMI 44, diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea. Never been so excited. Or so scared!
  24. I plan to! Good luck with your journey. I look forward to seeing how you progress.
  25. Good to know, as well! I have diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea. You’d think they’d be ready to help me get off the meds and machines...will save them money in the long run!
