Pre op diet
I get to drink 3 protein shakes a day and 2 light yogurts. Two days before surgery I can only have 65-80g of liquid protein a day, but it has to be clear liquids such as clear protein drinks, zero calorie sports drinks, frozen sugar free popsicles, fat free clear broth, sugar free Jello and decaf tea.

Anyone scared
I am still pre op. I was scared at the beginning but then realized that everything I do, I do for my children, often sacrificing myself. This is something I am doing for me, because I realize I need some TLC, too. Actually, I deserve it!

Food Funerals?~ protein shake recommendations
Well, I'm a girl on a budget (read working and food stamps). I can't afford the protein shakes they offer. My surgery date has not been set yet, but when they told me i'd be drinking these shakes forever,I came up with a plan. I bought the little blender that turns into a cup. Then I bought a giant container of muscle milk (food stamp eligible) and I'm good to go. Now I have to see if I can pay for the vitamins with food stamps. I'll probably need a prescription. But I won't give up figuring out how to pay for these items. I mean if I can't afford it, then why bother having the surgery. Good luck!

Hi Rose! I'm still pre-op and going through all the testing, but forever is a long time. Sent from my A574BL using BariatricPal mobile app- Forever
Am I the only one freaking out that the gastric sleeve surgery is forever? I can't even picture myself married forever lol. So yeah, forever is a long time! Anyone have the sleeve for a few years and how's it going? I'm new here. Thank you!
