    Breast reduction surgery?

I'd say it depends on how you lose weight. I had my reduction a long time ago and my dr didn't require me to lose weight, but I also had enough weight loss history to know that I lose weight in my boobs LAST. My roommate after college on the other hand had 4 different bra sizes in her drawer because she lost and gained weight there first. If you aren't sure I'd wait a little longer and let things stabilize. Totally worth it though!! No regrets about having my reduction in my 20's and if the girls start dragging I would totally get a lift again.
  2. I would take them all with you to the dr. You may be doubling up on the folic acid since it would likely be in your prenatal too. They ought to be able to look at the levels in your multi and let you know if there is anything missing or that should be avoided for a safe pregnancy. They may not do an ultrasound if you are only 6 weeks. I feel like with both of my boys we couldn't find a heartbeat until at least 7 weeks on ultrasound (they are too small, not because there is anything wrong!). Congratulations!!

    Gastric Sleeve & PCOS

Well, my experience with PCOS and pregnancy was actually before my surgery, but may still be helpful. It took 2 years to get pregnant with our first child. I never had a period without medication. We finally got pregnant after almost 2 years with clomid and IUI. All the while my doctors telling me that losing weight would help my chances but if you have PCOS you know how hard that is! After he was born I never really went back on birth control, figuring we would never get pregnant without intervention and for a year we were right. When we decided to try again I started losing some weight while we began the fertility process again. On my 5th cycle "trying" I was down about 35 lbs, had a huge cyst, so my dr decided to cancel any treatment for the cycle and that is the month we got pregnant, NATURALLY! It was a shock and a blessing. So now we are super careful! Haha! I have endometriosis too, so the weight was not everything, but it was a big factor for me for sure. Best of luck to you all soon!

Stall right out of the gate?

Well, for all my whining I think my stall finally broke. I was down 3 lbs this morning! So I figure maybe I'll have a good week and then be prepared for this to happen again. Hopefully the next time I won't freak out! I am definitely seeing changes in my body and the way by clothes fit so that has kept me sane. I can fit into my favorite yellow skirt today and I'm not even muffin-topping! Thanks for the much needed reality check!
  5. So I had a great first week, down 13 lbs and now I’ve been hovering around the same weight for about 2 weeks. I know stalls are normal but figured it would take longer than a week to hit one. I’ve had some non-scale victories too, so I’m not too down yet but it is starting to get to me. Any suggestions on breaking out of a stall? Is it normal to have one this early? Just feeling a little like, why did I do all this if I could have lost the same amount on weight watchers? I’ve been increasing activity this last week, but not approved for much exercise yet. Getting 500-600 calories a day and plenty of water. Thanks guys!

Stall right out of the gate?

All true, but still discouraging this early in the process. I had the surgery more for health issues than looking good. I was hoping more would come off early to keep me out of the hospital before slowing down to a slower pace. I guess I just would like to feel like this is normal and know how long this might last. It’s hard to see people lose 30 lbs + in the first month and not feel like I’m doing something wrong. Just looking for encouragement I guess.
  7. I have found some great ideas on pinterest. Made some tuna salad for lunches and deviled eggs for my protein snack and eating some chunkier soups. Lots of eggs and fish for me to start out. And by lots I mean frequency. I can only get about 2 oz of the soft solid food down before I'm full. The liquids I was able to fit more in so I'm having to be more diligent about getting my liquids.

    July Sleeve

Day 5 after surgery. No nausea and down 7 lbs already! Having a really hard time getting enough food though. Only 30-40 grams of protein each day.

Having my sleeve on 7/23! I’m nervous but really excited too. Ready to feel like I fit in my own skin again.
