  1. My surgery is Monday too and I’m super excited and nervous at the same time!!! Yay! We're surgery buddies! LOL Good luck!
  2. Holy cow!!! Congratulations! I hope I have similar results. My surgery is Monday.
  3. I drink Walmart brand fruit punch packets in my water. I'm pre-op right now, but hate hate hate drinking water. This stuff is a life saver. There are a bunch of different flavors and you can either get the packets to put in a water bottle or to make 2 qts at home. (I make that and just fill up my big cup that has 24 oz in it to sip through the day so I know exactly how much water I'm getting.) The nutritionist said this counts as my water/fluid intake so I'm good.
  4. My surgery is Monday. I cheated a little yesterday, too. But not too much. From everything I read, one little cheat won't screw you up as long as you are good the last 48-72 hours before surgery. Good luck!
  5. For me, I didn't really have to prove that I tried and failed. I had done Weight Watchers in the past, but no way to show that I did. I've tried to do it on my own, no way to prove that. All I had to do when filling out the paperwork was to write down that I had tried them, when I tried them, and did I lose weight and keep it off. I didn't go through the military insurance, but I am assuming it will be along the same lines. Good luck!
  6. The first few days are hard, but after that it's not too bad. I struggled with Thanksgiving, but most of the week I've been able to occupy my mind with other things. If I can do this, you can.
  7. I'm pretty sure that most do. To shrink your liver so it's easier during surgery. Good luck!
  8. I'm already looking forward to that cottage cheese and scrambled egg! LOL
  9. Whose bright idea was it to schedule my surgery the Monday after Thanksgiving? I'm on day 4 of my liquid diet and I'm very sad and hungry. I have done very good except for today. I took a bite of mashed potatoes. I hope this doesn't hurt me. I'm struggling!
  10. I can't believe the difference everyone's weight loss makes them look so much younger! You guys look amazing.
  11. Such great motivation here! I, too, don't want to be a statistic. I was once 130 lbs and I want to get there again. I know that with hard work I can get there.
  12. You are smart and cute! (You were cute before, too.)
  13. I started my pro-op liquid diet today. I have been drinking the Atkins Milk Chocolate Delight drink. 15g protein, 5 carbs (2 net carbs) 1g sugar. It's pretty tasty. I bought some Whey Protein Isolate powder on Amazon, but I haven't gotten it yet.
  14. I'm having mine done in Toledo. Thank you for prayers. Today we had "Fakesgiving" as my last meal. LOL
  15. We have the same date! I was originally going to have it done on 12/17, but the Dr. filled up that date. They called me to change it. It was either the following month or in 10 days (from the call). So I'm going in early!
  16. I start my liquid diet tomorrow and my surgery is 11/26. I have already apologized to the family for the attitude I'm going to have, especially on Thanksgiving.
  17. I understand what you are saying. I've tried to diet, it doesn't work and I get frustrated. I can't fit in an airplane seat comfortably or without an extender seat belt. I can't go on rides at the amusement part with the kids. Unfortunately I grew up where we were given food as rewards. Cakes, sodas, etc. When we celebrated, we celebrated with food. I am looking forward to changing my life and my body.
