  1. My nutritionist and surgeon recommended Patch MD vitamins for all their patients. They are great especially if you have trouble swallowing pills. I use the multivitamin patch and the Biotin which is helping with hair loss.
  2. Fortunately our hospital is ALL private rooms which is awesome. I was on a regular wing so all kinds of patients plus my doctor only does about two Bariatric surgery’s per week.
  3. I’m with you sister. Starting to get a little depressing. Lost great first month now it takes forever to lose a pound?. Some days I wonder why I did this if it’s not going to help shed the weight. Don’t go to dr and nutritionist until mid December. Really hoping things turn around before then. Hope you start losing again. I totally get your frustration
  4. Yes I am having similar issues. Tried turkey the other night and felt like it was stuck in my chest. Last night I tried some meat loaf. I put ketchup on it and it seems to go down much easier. Also tried oatmeal yesterday which I had bad luck with earlier but yesterday I put nonfat milk on it and put the dry oatmeal in my food chopper and made it really fine. That seemed to make all the difference. I think you are 100% correct the keys are moisture and eating really slow
  5. I have been adding a tablespoon of low fat cheese and a tablespoon of salsa to the refried beans and they taste a little better. I can only do about 2oz of anything at a time. Thank goodness I can still drink coffee. lol. It takes about an hour to drink it but it does taste good. I put a couple teaspoons of nonfat milk powder in it to get some protein. Good luck. Keep in touch?
  6. I’m feeling a lot like you. So far the ONLY things I can eat besides liquids like chicken broth is refried beans, yogurt and cottage cheese. I tried cod the other night and it felt horrible. Tried chicken that made me nauseous. This is getting harder. ?. I am sticking to liquids and blended for now
  7. So dr on Tuesday he says for now only do two oz of anything at a time and he is watching my gallbladder. Says some of the recent pain from eating could be that. So we will see?
  8. Sounds like the big protein shake is the next place for me to go as well. Food is really killing me. Glad tomorrow is dr day?
  9. I’m right there with you sister. Four weeks post today. Still struggling to get enough protein and water. Also not having a huge success with food. Very few things I can eat and not pay for later?. Dr tomorrow hopefully they will have some suggestions
  10. Oh my gosh, that’s for posting this. I had gastric bypass on 9/24 and am going through this exact same thing. I lost 14 lbs the week after surgery and nothing since. Keep going back and forth between two pounds. I was just thinking this morning what if this is it. All of the surgery for a lousy 14 pounds. I, like you hope this turns around soon. So frustrating
  11. This is my problem as well. I’m 3 weeks post op. I have tried the Premier Protein Clear water that has 20 grams of protein but it’s a little to sweet to drink too often. I’m having trouble with chicken, tuna well pretty much anything solid. Really frustrating as the first couple weeks were so easy?
  12. One of my definite go tools. Easier on the stomach than most anything else I have tried.
  13. I added the Biotin. So far no hair loss don’t know if this helps but it makes me feel like it might so good enough for me. Lol
  14. Glad you are doing well. I don’t get puree until Wednesday. Looking forward to that?. I think
  15. Sounds definitely like something I should consider. How far post surgery are you?
  16. Oh I have been reading about the Tespo and wondered how people liked it. I think I will bring this up at my appointments this week. It seems very practical.
  17. My doctor uses the Patch MD vitamin patches instead of pills. I love this as I don’t have to worry about when to take them. Just put a new one on each morning after my shower and wear for 8 hrs. I love this.
  18. Same here I am fine with drinking shakes for now. Have lots of time for food in the future. Lol
  19. I also had my surgery on the 24th. I’m not allowed anything but full liquids until at least Oct 10th. How are you feeling?
  20. I had mine on the 24th as well. How are you doing?
  21. @gbjourney6 mine was also on 24th!!
  22. I have long had digestive issues so I basically said I was finally fixing those which is true. The only person who knows about WLS is my husband who is really the only one that matters
