  1. I didn’t run into the issue until post-op but I can’t have dairy at all. It’s not lactose intolerance, it’s got to be the dairy protein and it sucks! It might be that, then again it could just be the protein powder. They never made me feel great. Is your protein weight protein isolate? I think it’s theeasiest to digest. I would definitely call the nutritionist, they deal with these things all the time.
  2. I am 3.5 weeks post op and I just started being able to tolerate food and even protein shakes. I can only eat a couple of tablespoons at a time and I definitely experienced many rough nights after eating. I would limit your self to a few bites of protein. I still struggle with chicken— fish goes down much easier. I started eating Tums after each meal (my doc prescribed this) and popping Gas-x.
  3. So, what’s the difference between taking a bite of chicken and chewing it until it’s a paste and taking this chicken and running it through the food processor? I feel like it’s silly to purée this stuff when I can just chew it a million times...
  4. I really like the iconic protein in chocolate it’s one of the only ones that tastes good to me.
