  3. I’ve heard flat out wraps are a great alternative for people is vsg who want to eat something like a sammich or a burrito. But why exactly is it a great alternative. I just wanna know what I should be looking for when shopping for something like wraps to eat.

  9. I just want to clarify that I’m not talking about just a salad made with lettuce. I mean an arugula salad or a spinach salad. I don’t want to eat lettuce I understand that my surgeon team said no to that.
  10. My surgerical team said I can eat veggies except lettuce for now but they said cooked. But I’m wondering about other ones because I don’t get to see them for another 3 months and it’s very hard to reach them on the phone since it’s a hospital in nyc.
  11. When were you able to eat a salad? I’m about 7 week post op and I’ve lost 31 pounds (yay) so far but since I’m always on the go I feel like eating a salad when I’m out and about and can’t manage to meal prep would be helpful. Let me know your experiences and when you started eating it.
  12. I don’t really like fast food and obviously I don’t have a big appetite nor do I want to eat fast food. But just in case I come into that trouble.
  13. Thank ya’ll for you advice
  14. If you eat fast food where do you usually go? I recently went to Popeyes and I had just one piece of chicken. I tried my best to rip off the breaded pieces but sometimes I’m on the go and forget my lunch or just didn’t meal prep so I need some food ideas. Btw I’m about to be 6 weeks post op.

  16. What type of coffee do you buy (brand wise) and how do you prepare it. If it’s hot or cold? Do you use a straw? And how long After your sleeve did you start drinking coffee and how many times a week? How many ounces of coffee do you have? I know a lot of questions about coffee but I’m wondering.

  18. Just in case anyone is wondering you don’t have to be Latino to chime in. As long as you eat Spanish food is fine. I just put Latinos because we don’t eat the things you only see in certain restaurants. Example: Mexicans don’t go to Mexican restaurants for just tacos, they can get a cemita or huaraches.

  21. I’m Dominican and I’m finding it hard to eat foods. I like Mexican food and your typical rice and bean. I’m one month out so what do you eat for breakfast lunch and dinner??

  23. So my first week after surgery I lost 21 pounds and now I’m almost at a month and I only lost 2 pounds. Any tips on how I can lose weight again. I barely eat and I don’t eat any junk food. I’m still on my purée diet stage.
  24.    GreenTealael reacted to a post in a topic: Drinking water too fast
  25. I am on my 4th week since surgery (gastric sleeve) and I’ve managed to take 3 gulps. No pains or anything. Is that good or bad? Also I broke my liquid diet due to seeing the fact every surgeon tells patients something different. I’m eating soft foods and again I have no pains or anything. Should I be worried? Also what foods should I stay away from? I know rice and such are a big no but what fruits or veggies should I stay clear from??
  26. @EsoKev I don’t remember the exact name of the surgeon. But I since spoke to the surgeons team and the bariatric center and they said the doctor asked me to stay off the medication due to it counteracting with other medications I was given. Also I’m not the only one who has been told it’s generalize. And as you can see other people have the same surgery but can eat 2 days or even a week after surgery. Each doctor has their reason but only you know your body.
  27. Luckily I’m about to reach my fourth week so I can start taking them again. It was really hard being off them but hopefully I’ll be feeling better. Thank you all for the support
