I went in had no choice. It was super easy. They drug you up. Put you a sleep while doing it. And all done.

Yeah I’m trying to sit up and walk. Watch movies and drink a sip here and there. I’m tired and want a nap but can’t figure out a comfy position

Yeah I got sublingual zafron, Pepcid and norco

Well I spent a total of 31/2 days in hospital. They started me out on Iv pain medication but I would stop breathing kinda and my bp would tank out. So they gave me 2 narco pills. My bp was better but still to low. And my breathing was not going good. So they decrease it to one norco pill. Seemed to work well. They had to give me 2 bags of nutrition iv fluids to bring my bp up. My kidney was not to happy but today the labs were good so got to come home.

Yay I’m glad someone is my surgery twin. How are you feeling

I’m home got to come home today. All my blood work is doing great back to normal levels. Now to keep moving and take my pain medication.

Sounds like what I have been going through. I just try to catch my breath holding a pillow cough. I know painful.

It only took 3 full days on the hospital since Wednesday surgery date. I’m finally home. Thank goodness

Well I had surgery on the 20th. I’m still in the hospital. Because they were having problems keeping my bp up. Then they did labs and my kidney is having issues. Hoping all is well and I can go home tomorrow.

Today is the day in 1 hour. Nervous and kinda scared

Okay so finally made it to surgery, everything is done and I’m at the final line. But my right side feels bloated and kinda tight. I been drinking my water and protein and broth today. Anyone else feel kinda weird or bloated on the right side? Should I worry about it?

Be careful on that full liquids menu because for example my dr won’t let you start that till 7 days post. Every program is so very different. It’s best you call your surgeon office and get guidance.

My surgery is finally here on Wednesday!! Hopefully all blood work comes back good

Yeah I’m sure I’m going to think exactly the same when my drive home starts. 2 long hours

Wow, that’s great to hear. What eating plan do they have you on? Pain free after 3 days pretty impressive.

That seems really early to add in that food choice. But praying your stats go normal

Make sure you take a pillow to hug on the drive home.

Wow I’m just in utter shock at all of this. I’m not sure if the lack of pain control was due to the Dr. or hospital protocol. No matter what the answer is I plan to figure it out I hope before next Wednesday.

Rofl ? well mines not till next Wednesday I will look around first. Make sure I see neither.

omg! This is ridiculous. I mean I get we have a drug epidemic in this country but for goodness sakes you just get out of surgery you need pain management and rest. Then is not the time to be stingy and keep people in pain for the sake of addiction. I get not sending people home with the stuff but your in a hospital.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking they are too large but she has been cutting them in half. But no shots. No vitamins yet. She’s on Pepcid pills.

They were giving here norco pills and sent her home with them (script) and Pepcid pills

They did not give her a morphine injection or pump. They had her taking pills afterwards. They gave her a injection of pain meds in the recovery room but afterwards it was straight to pills. I would think within the first 24 hours swallowing anything would be painful

Okay, so one of my surgery buddies is post op. Some of the things she is sharing is disturbing to me. I personally think this is crazy. But im curious to see what the norm is on average here for post op pain management. So when you were out of surgery what was the pain management for you? Where you on morphine drip? Liquid pain medication? Pills?
