  1. Wow what a rough week.... I got a fill one week ago today, and after one week of PB's, no eating at all - no Soups, no nothing....no drinking anything but coffee....and horrible chest pain.....I paged the doctor Saturday night and met him at the clinic at 9:00 pm for an 'un-fill'. He said he was surprised I had lasted as long as I did. I'm on Clear liquids for 72 hours - and glad to be that way. I'm just so happy to DRINK! Anyone else ever had this happen? I'm going back in two weeks for a re-fill...
  2. You have just made the first step into the 'Rest of Your Life'..... Congrats!!!
  3. I had a last couple 'weeks' instead of a last meal. It was a long, sweet, FULL couple weeks. I think I might have pulled a muscle in my stomach because it huuuuuurt from eating so much. Can't believe I admitted that....
  4. I just schedule as a regular doctor's appointment and take medical time off for it.
  5. I tried to drink a beer one night while I was ironing, just because I was craving it and I was 'mad' about something. I couldn't drink it. Too much bubbly.
  6. I have to be REALLY careful when I'm eating and talking - because I will surely get to going too fast and not chew and it's a PB visit to the little girl's room for me for sure.
  7. I do eat salads some - not much though. And I chew, chew, chew the heck out of everything.... The secret for me is to take a smaller bite and that's hard because I'm always in a hurry and having to eat in a hurry. And that leads to a PB everytime.... I was instructed to chew till it's the consistency of apple sauce.
  8. Hey Mississippi Group!!! I was banded 10/23/07 in Tupelo, through North Mississippi Bariatric Center, Dr. Terry Pinson. I love that whole group! They are very thorough and it's a complete program. I've had 3 fills, have lost 27 lbs so far. I just found this board yesterday - so I'm looking forward to meeting some lifelong friends here..... I was lucky and had insurance cover this for me, although my portion was still around $2000ish.
  9. Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum - but not so new to my lapband. I was banded 10/23/07 and had my 3rd fill yesterday - not sure what I'm up to in my band because my doctor doesn't like to tell you the amount he puts in. I know I'm really full and so far only warm things like coffee and Soup are actually going down. I've lost 27 pounds so far - I have a goal of 70. I did this for my health, my son, my family. I LOVE my life and I plan on being around to enjoy it for a long time - without the health problems associated with obesity. I'm so glad to have found this new 'home'. I look forward to meeting all the veteran-banders and learning all the tricks and tips. Jenn:smile2:
