    I had umbilical hernia (again), hiatal hernia repair an RNY all done at the same time. I didn't know either that I had a hiatal hernia until my EGD was done 2 wks pre-op. I did really well with it.

    I was off for 6 weeks, but could have gone back sooner. I did have a lot of sick time and vacation time to use, so I just took the six weeks off. Besides that, I had to learn to eat the correct foods and that does take time.
