  1. Hi, sorry it has been so long. I had my band unfilled 4 weeks ago and feel much better. Although, I am able to eat everything. I am supposed to go back and slowly add fluid back in the band soon. My upper gi revealed that nothing was going through the esophogus, it would just bounce back and forth, and trickle down.
  2. I was banded in Aug. of 2003. I lost 110 pounds, but right now have no fluid in band due to complications. I am very hungry and eating anything I want. I am scared and ready to tighten back up soon.
  3. Wow! I am going through the same thing as well. I had a complete unfill about 4 weeks ago. I have gained 6 pounds back although I had lost 10 pounds while I was so sick not keeping anything down. I have hunger pains that I have not had in 4 years. I was banded 5 years ago, and I lost 110 pounds. I am so scared that I will keep gaining. Hang in there and know that you are not alone out there.
  4. I am in the same situation! I have had my band for 5 years My upper GI revealed that nothing will go through the esophougus. I am having the fluid removed today. It almost seemed like my band had moved up though. Let me know what happens with you. Did you get relief from the unfill?
  5. Hi Taz. No, i do not have a support group, but could use one. I am having some trouble with my band right now. I think it has slipped, so I have been seeing Dr. Weaver at St. Francis. The upper GI revealed that nothing will go through the esophougus. I would love the support. I have lost 120 pounds and need to lose about 30 more. Nice to meet you!
  6. Hi. Has anyone ever heard of the band moving upward? I just had an upper GI done and the barium would not even go through the esophougus. It just bounced back and forth and that is why I am so hungry. He said nothing was going into my stomach. It looked like the band moved up and my stomach was much lower. HELP if you ever heard of this before.
  7. Hi all! I have had my band for 5 yrs now, and I have not a fill in over 3 years. For the past 3 months or so I have been burping constantly, and having trouble. When I lay down at night I get a gurgling noise, and sometimes acid coming up in my mouth. I have been able to eat most foods, with little trouble the past year, although I have not lost much in the past 2 years. I am really worried that something has happened to the band. I am now doing liquids, but 2 mornings ago, I threw up my medication and Water that I drank with it. It just sat on me until it came up. Can the band shift or tighten even if it has been that long since it has been touched? I am going for an upper GI and then the doctor says we will go from there. She did not want to even check the band until I have the upper GI done. I appreciate any input!!!!
