  1. I’m getting sick of the same ol’ things I’ve been eating! What are some things you eat now that your are after the 3month post-op mark?? If you want to share recipes please do so! I need more ideas I like fun ones! Thanks in advance!
  2. I am very curious to know what a typical day looks like for people! I am only one week out of gastric bypass and I can hardly even get 20oz of liquid down (don’t even ask about protein) that’s non existent in my life right now! I feel fine everyday I take all of my vitamins and I feel great! So what does your food intake day look like from the time u wake to the time u get ready for bed? If u can add times and amounts please do so! I’m super curious even for some ideas of what I can look forward to eating! Thank you all!!
  3. Yeah I didn’t add sugar free popsicles I’ve had a few of those and tolerated! I haven’t taken pain meds since the day I left the hospital I just don’t like the way they make me feel! I did however, just eat some tomato soup and so far so good as far as tolerating it!! I do move (what the doctor considers enough) even through the pain! It’s so hard to explain thank you
  4. I know I am only 6 days post op from gastric bypass! I am super sore and this tightening in my stomach but really high up just won’t go away. I’m not getting anything over 20oz of fluids a day...today I finally got in 30g protein from a protein shake(that was me forcing myself) I feel like any movements I make hurt and even walking is really painful (I’m walking every hour or even more) I’ve lost 17lbs in 6 days which I’m sure is awesome! Is there a trick to this LOL sounds so silly to ask how can I get all this down and when does the pain start to ease? Or atleast this tightening feeling? I know everyone is different and all recoveries are different. Figured I’d ask to try new things...have only been trying water protein shakes and apple juice. I tried jell-o but I felt like it got stuck and the sensation of it after was very painful. Suggestions?? HW:360 SW: 353 CW: 337
  5. Ok I feel better to know that this happens! And I’m doing ok not really reaching goal with liquids I’ve lost 7lbs in 2 days! I really need to push more liquid! How are u doing??
  6. Do your bruises stick out and look swollen? Like puffy around the whole bruise?
  7. So they told me to ice it and the swelling for the most part went away they said to mark where it’s at and if it goes beyond the mark to come right in! As of right now I’m just monitoring it!
  8. No fever no signs of infections! I’m mostly worried about internal bleeding! I do bruise really easy but didn’t expect that big of one! The surgeon is calling me back with that I should do! Thank you for your input I will let u know how I make out!!
  9. I called and without them seeing it they just said bruising is normal I did tell them the extent to this bruising but they just kept telling me it’s normal! I’m thinking I’m gonna be heading back in there within the next few hours because it has spread since last night
  10. Has anyone dealt with pretty bad bruising? I am 3days post op and I’m not sure how normal this is!!! This bruising goes down to my pubic area! Any insight in this? I know they said some bruising is normal!
  11. I was gonna ask that as well

  13. No one has answered me yet lol I’m waiting patiently for answers and lists!! I’m not sure what I can wear I know they say loose comfy clothes so I’m gonna say it’s a safe bet to wear pjs
  14. I don’t have anything packed I actually just posted something asking people to make a list of what I should pack and what I should have when I get home from surgery lol it is at 8 am and I’m having it in Boston, Massachusetts
  15. Thank you all I go in at 8am tomorrow and I feel so sick to my stomach from my nerves it’s so crazy I’m about to change my whole entire life in the matter of hours wooof!! Here goes nothing
  16. Tomorrow is my surgery! I’m terrified! Anyways, my bypass buddies who have already gone through the process, can you list me a few things you brought with you to the hospital and a list of things that you needed the first week once u we’re home as far as liquids and anything else. I’ve heard a few things already I just like to hear different ones and keep my options open!! Thank you in advance!!
  17. My surgery is in 3 more days May 30th! Wow! It came so fast! I am freaking out thinking of all the ways it could go wrong and I would be the one that things happen to on the table(I have had multiple surgeries so going under isn’t new to me) for some reason I’m just freaking out about this time around! I’m scared nervous and excited all at once! Ughh! Deep breath! I got this right? I can’t wait to have a new healthier life style, I am not afraid of commitment especially one that will change me for the better!! I want it all too happen so fast and that’s unrealistic I think I may be too hard on myself with the amount of weight I want to lose in the time frame I’m giving myself! When it comes to challenges in crazy committed and super hard on myself I hope I’m not setting myself up for failure!! Woo that was a lot to get off my chest! I am 5’ and weigh 353 ( I have sooooooo much to lose) I have PCOS and I’m hearing things on here that I’ve yet to hear on how it’s harder to lose when having PCOS! Youch! I hope not! Old I’m gonna just go in with an open mind and hope all goes well! I will rock this!! This forum has helped me so much and motivated me seeing before and after pics and I just pray that I am lucky enough to look like any of you that have had such amazing success! Wish me luck! Wednesday is my day! Any surgery buddies that can keep in touch and help with the motivation after surgery process I would love to have a friend!!!
