  2. I’m doing well. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how great this recovery has been. I had an appendectomy last year and it was more painful than this sleeve recovery. @ReneKiser yes I’m on full liquid right now. I have my follow-up appt on the 18th and I have to eat an egg before my appt to see if I’m ready to transition to soft foods. I don’t have a drain for my incisions. HW: 321 SW: 271 GW: 180 Sleeved: 5/10/18
  3. I’m same as you. I think it must be the hiatal hernia repair making it uncomfortable for me when I drink. HW: 321 SW: 271 GW: 180 Sleeved: 5/10/18

  5. I woke up in recovery with crazy gas pain. Kept begging for something and the nurse said she gave me all that she could in recovery. Once I made it to my room I tried to lie in bed but the pain was too much. They got me into a chair/lounger that sits up straight and that has been heaven for me. I slept for a couple of hours in the bed tonight but started feeling that painful gas again so I’m back in my chair. I’ve been able to walk around with no problem. It seems like when I do feel pain it’s only from gas. I’m only allowed ice chips for now and will complete a swallow test in the morning before they start me on liquids. The Dr. ended up fixing a hiatal hernia during surgery. I was surprised because I never had any symptoms. HW: 321 CW: 276 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18

  12. The day is approaching quickly. I’m down 10 lbs and as ready as I can be for surgery on Thursday. Message me if you want to keep in contact during the journey. This forum can get so congested sometimes. I wouldn’t mind having a “pen pal”. HW: 321 CW: 276 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18

  14. May 10th for me. Down 8 lbs so far on this liquid diet. Tough the first 3 days but has been ok since then. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18

  16. My day 1 was awful! I decided to have a bash at the bar the afternoon before I started liquids so I was hungover and hungry! By day 4, I was much better with getting my energy back and not feeling like I’m starving. I only want other things just because I want them but just have to keep the goal in mind. I’m down 8 lbs so far and day 6 is today. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  17. I know how you are feeling! This is my 4th date and it is super hard. I just keep telling myself to get through it. Also, as some people have suggested, I am binge watching Netflix and Amazon prime shows. Helps the time go by. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  18. I’m day one of the liquid diet. I was fine at work not thinking about food but now that I’m at home I keep thinking about all of the stuff I want to eat. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  19. Liquid diet sucks. That is all. [emoji20] HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  20. Yes, we should keep in touch HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  21. I’m May 10th as well. Little nervous but I’m just trying to focus on baby steps. First step is the liquid diet starting tomorrow. I’m going to start back reading and other activities to keep my mind off of the hunger. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  22. Oh wow a cruise would’ve been great as much as I ate on the last one. I’ve been doing the same with my food funerals. Start liquid tomorrow for 2 weeks. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  23. Thank you! HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
  24. You’re with me! Hate the preop part but i know it’s necessary. Getting my mind right for the liquid and May 10. HW: 321 CW: 278 GW: 180 Sleeve scheduled: 5/10/18
