  1. I am in NEw York. Once you are done with all medical clearances my surgeon gives you a surgery date. After she gives you the surgery date she submits everything to your insurance. Legally all insurances have the right to take 30 days to approve the surgery. This is why my surgeon gives the patient a surgery date. Kind of forces the insurance to hurry up and approve the procedure. I have Emblem Health Hip (Obama Care) and was approved the next day! Yes 1 day approval!!! It really all depends on how quick the nurse reviewing your chart is. All depends on the person sitting in that chair looking at your chart!
  2. Yipppy!!!! I am scheduled 5 days before you, on May 2nd!!! I will definitely keep updating with my progress!
  3. Awesome!!! We are all doing this together!!!
  4. Yes!!! Let's do this! I just had my band removed months ago. Surgeon wanted everything to heal well, so I have been patiently waiting for the sleeve. My surgery date is May 2nd! My insurance approved the surgery in 1 day after it was submitted. I was totally shocked being that the insurance was from the "Obama Care"So now after having gone through surgery twice, (once to put in band and once to take it out) I'm preparing for the post op period again. Toilet seat riser was a must for me! I also rented a small hospital bed from my local pharmacy which helped me tremendously with band post op and getting in and out of bed. Also don't forget to order your chewable vitamins! I love the Unjury brand. They have everything you need in 1 chewable.
  5. Yes! Let's keep in touch! I had my lap band removed in November! Now waiting for sleeve in May!!
  6. Awesome!!!! I had my lap band removed in November and also started gaining back all weight. Ready for this sleeve in may!!! Are you taking any chewable vitamins?
