  1. Since surgery 14 lbs. can’t believe it to be honest.
  2. Also, I totally am in same boat about having a hard time picking what to eat. No appetite really. Post op day 6. I through away three soups I made because i didn’t really like the taste and didn’t want to waste my meal on it.
  3. That’s sort of what I have been doing. A premier protein when I wake up, then my three meals have been either a yogurt, apple sauce, or soup. And then another protein shake at night. But I’m at 68oz water not including protein shakes... some people count that into it. I have been setting timers for drinking and eating. I am wondering if this is a cautionary thing my doctor suggests just to start? 1-2 oz every 10-15 minutes. Water or protein shake or food. I’m at 2 oz water/ protein shake per ten minutes and it goes down fine. [emoji1303]
  4. Nooo. Have to wait till first post op appt but mine is almost 4 weeks out because of scheduling conflict so I’m hoping the doctor will allow me to progress before that. After two weeks. Crossing my fingers.
  5. I had to push mine back a couple weeks because of scheduling conflicts but I am hoping he will let me progress beforehand. Seeing as we are doing so well!! I’m so happy to hear you are doing well. I had very little pain and never took the prescription pain med just children’s Tylenol. Also was hitting water goals first day home which I think really helped. And walking a lot lol My friend had surgery with us too and she was having a HARD time.
  6. Hey Eddie!! Nice to meet you. Have you moved on to stage 3 foods... past liquid/ purée of first two weeks?
  7. How cool! My name is Courtney by the way. I’m doing really well. Pretty much feel back to normal... just no food. I can’t wait till stage 3 food starts.
  8. Doctors specifically told me that the surgery, I think specifically general anesthesia stuff, will interrupt the effectiveness of your birth control for a week out. They said it to me so many times. So that might be why??
  9. No way!! Did you have that pretty teal and flowered robe. That’s the only other patient I saw around me.
  10. I had surgery same day. Hope you are getting your liquid intake up! I think that has been the key to my recovery at least...
  11. March 26th at Kaiser South San Francisco w/ Dr. Robert Li
