  1. Hi Natasha, don’t beat yourself up. I had the sleeve in 2015 and it was best decision of my life. Never looked back. My advice to you is if you have heartburn, gastric reflux, do the bypass. If you have a lot to lose, do the bypass. Not the sleeve. I wish I knew bcus heartburn is excessive for with the sleeve. My doctor said he didn’t know I had gastric reflux even though out was Stated in my endoscopy results. It’s so severe and meds just take the edge off. So he is now doing a revision to bypass to stop the Gerd. Although I happy with the 50 pounds I lost, the doctor said sleeve will not lose as much as the bypass. Then you level off and here I am needing to lose another 60. As far as battling with food, you’re not going to be hungry bcus your stomach will be smaller or even craving bcus they remove the hormone in your stomach that causes all that craziness. You will be shocked. At least I was. Best person to talk to is your doctor. And the nutritionist. Best of luck and reach out anytime. I’m new on this site also. It helps to talk to someone. I love it. Calms the fears
  2. Today is the start of the new you! Best of everything!
  3. You and I have the exact same scenario. I am happy to hear recovery is easier. I have seen posts from someone with bypass that they have a drain. Did you?
  4. I am doing a sleeve to bypass conversion in June due to Gerd. In the beginning when I would stall I found water (or lack of) was the problem. When I was conscious of what I was drinking I realized the more I drank the more weight came off. Drink so your body can flush the fat out. See if that works.
  5. You may want to take biotin starting from now. Or even prenatal vitamins. Ask your doctor. I know someone who has very thin hair and she did thin a little but not to the point where it was very noticeable but she is taking biotin now and she say it’s helping
  6. Tomorrow is your day!! Good luck!
  7. Thank you. It is very helpful. Just checked my creamer and it’s 3g. Whew. [emoji477]️
  8. Wishing you the best. Will stay in touch
  9. Thanks !! When is your date? Mine is June 6
  10. Hey all.. new to this app. Love it and all the support I see! I am on the fence and looking to see if anyone has had a revision from sleeve to bypass? Since my sleeve I have developed the worst heartburn. I had it before but not to this extent. My doctor didn’t tell me that the sleeve will make your gerd worse. It’s to the point that I eat only what doesn’t hurt. In addition to that I can’t eat anything with flour. Horrible stomach ache. I’ve been allergy tested for gluten bcus I was SURE that’s what is was but turns out I’m not. So I know enough to stay away from carbs.. bread, rice and anything with flour. Thank goodness for gluten free crackers. They are my staple. Doctor says the revision make the heartburn and pain and will repair the hernia that developed from the first surgery. I guess I just don’t know anyone who has done the bypass and if they have any complications. I’ve heard dumping could be really bad. What are the big differences in foods with the sleeve vs bypass. I heard you can’t have anything with sugar.... I’m thinking of my coffee creamer ( which i allow myself) which is not sugar free.... fruits, honey, oatmeal .... would appreciate any feedback or insight.
  11. That’s fantastic! You look like a totally different person!
