  1. I'm relieved to see these responses. I had sleeve surgery 4/12 and I feel basically normal. Still some twinges in the incision where my stomach was pulled out, but I'm not having any trouble getting all of my required fluids, etc. in. Glad to hear that it should straighten up when I move on to denser food. Congrats to everyone!
  2. Are you noticing any signals of fullness or hunger? I just feel kind of "there"---not hungry, not full, just there. So, I'm able to get most of my requirements in, but I worry that I'm not getting a full signal. Does that not show up until we're off full liquids?
  3. The gas is no joke! Getting tired of my noisy tummy, too. I've heard that this part lasts 3-5 days, so hopefully we're nearing the end of it!
  4. I hope things get better for you soon. I'm lining up little cups to get my fluids in I'm walking loops in my house during the commercials on tv---helps with the gas, which will help with getting clearer "full" signals.
  5. I haven't been on this forum long and mostly lurk, but I know there were a few who had surgery on 4/12. Mine went well and I got discharged late yesterday. It was great to sleep in my own bed! How is everyone doing who had their surgery this week?
  6. Best of luck to you! I'll be right behind you---my sleeve surgery is Thursday.
  7. Way to go! You look great--how are you feeling?
  8. This is where I am as well. My husband and I work opposite shifts, so we don't see each other a whole lot except when he has a weekend off every other week, or some evenings when he's off. He hasn't really been in that "caretaker" role with me. He keeps saying that this will be good for our relationship---I hope so. I know that my lack of stamina for activities and stuff has been a strain, so hopefully this will improve. It seems to be helping so far---I've been going through the process with a nutritionist, etc. for a year and have lost over 50 lbs. so far. Surgery April 12!
  9. I don't start my pre-op diet until the 5th. Only one week, but I don't know the details yet. That appointment is the 3rd. Good luck!
  10. My date is April 12. Will start the liquid diet next week.
