  1. You got this, we'll see you on the other side!
  2. Welcome to the group! Definitely check out our list: Surgery Buddies List, and I've added you!
  3. Hope it all went well for you!!!
  4. What does whipping solve actually?? lol
  5. @ALFxRNY - I just followed you on IG.
  6. @Brittbrat - I am @i.am.emilym Not a lot going on at my page right now since I'm so far away from surgery, but it will pick up!!
  7. @Lauren26 Okay so my psych evaluation was WEIRD ? The part where they focus on weight and eating habits had me crying laughing... I was asked all kinds of crazy ?’s like... Pardon me if you will but “ Do you incorporate food with copulation?” OMGGGG I was taken off guard TOTALLY?? Other than that it was okay!! WTF??? I think the person you went to see needs to have a psych eval. Why would they need to know that? And even if you do what is wrong with it and why would it matter for WLS? Bizzare!!
  8. This not being able to quote BS is really pissing me off!! @Crcountry - Glad to hear you're doing well! I keep reading "it will get better", I'm sure it will for you too! @YoBL - Woo Hoo! @JayBSoFla - Welcome to the group! I'm sure that was nerve wracking to have that emotional roller coaster. At least it's over soon!!
  9. Is there a known issue? For several days now I have been unable to quote posts without refreshing multiple times or closing the page entirely and reopening it. This has occurred across multiple browsers and different networks. I have not had the issue in the app. But it's incredibly frustrating online.
  10. There are a lot of Facebook groups out there dedicated to Keto after bariatric surgery. I've done Keto before as a regular avenue for weight loss and it does work, but like anything else it requires strict adherence. Due to it's focus on high fat, you can't "cheat" and add in a few carbs because that just makes it the standard american diet and likely the diet that put so many of us here in the first place. I haven't dug into how people do Keto after surgery, but with the need for protein to be so high it doesn't make sense to me that Keto would work. Bariatric focus is supposed to be High Protein, Low Carb and that is different than High Fat, Moderate Protein (Keto).
  11. Yeah the problem with bariatric groups being secret is that they're secret and thus no one can find them to join. lol Hope you do find one that works for you. Are we not enough???
  12. When you started this thread, did you ever think it would get this big? lol no! I just wanted to meet a few people having surgery around the same time as me. But then everyone came out of the woodwork!!

  15. Woo Hoo! Good luck to you and keep us posted on how recovery goes!!
  16. The hospital I’m having surgery at is a less than 10 minute ride away. Gonna get there early and hopefully they will get all of the day of pre-op testing out of the way pretty quickly. I’m so anxious but not in an “I’m so scared/nervous” type of way. More of an “I’m excited and want to get this over with and start my new healthy life” type of way On the topic of water... I love water, but even I get sick of it. Someone on this board turned me on the PowerAde Zero and O M G it is so good! It tastes just like kool-aid to me. My favorite flavors are Grape and Fruit Punch. (There is quite the lively debate somewhere on this board about the Grape flavor!)
  17. Welcome to the group! Is your surgery the 20th or 21st?
  18. That's awesome. How much did you lose in that 6 weeks?
  19. Just get yourself a cozy robe to wrap around yourself and you'll be fine.
  20. I bought a size 10 lingerie set before I was even finished with my pre-op requirements, lol. It’s the only purchase I’ve made though. I hope to fit it eventually, even if my body tricks me and decides to go smaller than a 10, at least I’ll get to wear it for a few weeks ?? Oh, man I didn't even think of that! Hmmm...might have to go shopping online!
  21. Is it just me or is this page acting up today? It took me reloading the page across three different browsers just to get this reply box to show up. Don't even get me started on trying to quote someone! Argh!
