  1. Hi everyone, I had surgery May 7th. I’m currently down about 75lbs. At the beginning I had major buyers remorse, nothing felt right everything was new (but not in a good way). I am just now starting to notice changes In myself in pictures. I have recently been out of town for school. I didn’t need a seat belt extender on the plane. I walked through the airport no problem, I walked to and from university every day, I was able to fit in the seats with no worry. The coolest thing is last night I went whale watching, everyone gets a coat...it fit! Never before would I have fit in to some sort of standard issue clothing. I’m not even sure why I’m making this post, except that I’m so excited! It took a while for me to notice things changing, but they finally did. And you are the people who will understand!
  2. My team was totally fine with it. Recommended it as a good source of protein. My surgery was May 7th
  3. I am 4 weeks out and have had nausea daily. Some days worse than others. I recently stopped all my vitamins, and it seems to have helped some. But not totally. Clinic keeps telling me it’s normal, but rare and it will eventually go away. Can’t give me a time frame of how long it will take to resolve.
  4. I started at 333. I had bypass May 7th. Below 300 now. I don’t notice a difference when I look at myself, but I have been able to wear some things I couldn’t before.
  5. I flew 5 hours total between two flights 4 days after surgery.
  6. I hated day 2. I took the medication they gave me almost on schedule. Every day after that got better though!
  7. Hi, I am 10 days post op from bypass. I can often feel something in my stomach. It’s not pain or gas or even discomfort. Almost like an uneasy feeling or just knowing something is in there. It’s very hard to explain. It’s most often after I have just eaten, and usually goes away when I drink water (so I feel it for at least 30 minutes at a time). Sometimes it is just random however. Wondering if anyone else has had this, and if it goes away? Even though it’s not pain, I don’t like it. Thanks!
  8. I started mine today too. I wasn’t too bad, but I sure felt like my brain wasn’t working too well.
  9. I’m may 7th. Had my appt with the dietician today. Getting real now!
  10. Hi, I’m new here. I’m having my surgery at the beginning of may in Montreal. Anyone else on the same time frame?
